| 摘 要： | 探讨了困扰一些大学英语教师的“要不要预习”问题，指出问题的症结在于中国教师对于“预习”这一概念及其目的的理解存在误区。阐述了国外学术界普遍认可的关于“预习”的定义．并从理论和实证研究两个角度分析了预习策略的有效性，从而提出大学英语教师应该摒弃对于预习策略的错误认识，在教学中积极使用这一策略。
