| 摘 要： | 随着中国加入WTO和申奥成功,国际交流更加频繁,综合素质高、专业精通、外语扎实、具备较强翻译能力的实用复合型翻译人才日益受到用人单位的青睐。然而,只靠规模有限的英语专业来培养翻译人才,是无法满足这种需求的。这为非英语专业的学生的成功转型提供了契机。大学英语设置翻译课程势在必行。

| Abstract: | With China's entry into WTO and the successful bidding for the Olympic Games,compound personnel in translation are in great need.However,to a certain degree,English majors cannot meet the need of fast development of the society and therefore this is the turning point for the non-English majors to transform to the translation field. |
