| Abstract: | This article examines the origins and features of the Electronic Libraries Programme(eLib) developed in the UK. As a continuation of eLib in networked environment, DNER and JISC IE are introduced as well. Due to eLib, which was funded by the High Education Funding Bodies in the UK, higher education libraries have made a great progress. The last part is devoted to the achievements of higher education libraries. |
