| Abstract: | Thomas Hardy uses some mythological words in"The return of the native",so as to enrich his artistic writing skills,to strengthen expressiveness and to portray characters.From the angle of artistic writing skills and of appreciation of the novel,this article discusses how Thomas Hardy employs mythological words based simile,metaphor,metonymy and adjectives in this novel. |
