| 摘 要： | “中体西用”的教育宗旨从出现的时代背景来看，是适应了“西学东渐”这一文化趋势的，也适度地促进了中国近代高等教育的发展，在一定程度上扩展了近代高等教育的体制规模、培养目标、课程设置、留学教育等方面；而另一方面，“中体西用”的教育原则的根本目的是要用“西用”来巩固“中体”，维护封建的伦理纲常，因此注定合桎梏中国近代高等教育的发展和现代化进程。

| Abstract: | From the perspective of emerging time,the idea of western exploitation of Chinese system fits to the tendency of eastern spread of western culture and accelerates the development of modern higher education in China,expands the scales,objectives,courses,and overseas study programs;on the other hand,the final principle of western exploitation on Chinese system is to consolidate Chinese system and ethic structure with exploiting western civilization,implies the confining of the development and modernization of higher education in China. |
