| 摘 要： | 近代来华传教士提倡通识教育，主张人的灵、智、体应当全面，其主旨在于培养教会学生的基督化人格，使学生皈依基督教。这种教育思想在当时之所以能得到部分传教士的认同，除了受国际教育大趋势的影响外，与传教士本人的神学观念以及当时中国教会学校所面临的教育环境也有一定关系。

| Abstract: | Maintaining that man develop in an all-round way-spiritually, intellectually and physically, the missionaries in modem China advocated Liberal Education, with a gist of developing mission school students' Christian character and converting the students to Christianity. That some of the missionaries held positive view on this education thought was because of the influence of the major international education tendency as well as the missionaries' theological concept and the educational situation confronting mission schools at that time. |
