| 摘 要： | 从认知语言学概念整合理论的视角研究了英汉两种语言在对死亡委婉语表达上的异同，并分析差异背后的社会原因。英语委婉语的认知模式主要体现为双域网络，汉语委婉语则根据其要表达意义的多少和所需语言的长短来选择不同的认知网络结构。

| Abstract: | This paper attempts to make a contrastive study of English and Chinese death euphe- mism from the perspective of conceptual blending theory. The research aims at the similarities and dif- ferences of death euphemism between English and Chinese languages and the social reasons. Cognitive model of English euphemism is mainly embodied in the ＂double domain network＂, while the cognitive network structure of Chinese euphemism is different, which is based on the meaning and the length of the language required. |
