| 摘 要： | 大学英语教学应该着重培养学生的自主学习能力，以利于学生的继续学习和终身教育。本文简要介绍了自主学习的定义、培养自主学习英语的必要性以及如何在大学英语教学中培养学生的自主学习能力。同时，文章通过分析指出培养学生的自主学习能力将是一个长期的过程。

| Abstract: | It is of great significance to cultivate autonomous learning in the process of college English teaching, because it is beneficial to continuous learning and life-long education. This paper introduces briefly its definitions, the necessity of fostering autonomous learning, and how to promote learners' autonomy in the current pedagogic context. Meanwhile, the paper highlights that it will take a long term to promote autonomous college English learning. |
