| Abstract: | In our English language teaching, we have long been paying much attention to the language itself but little to the cultural transmission. As a result many students have difficulty in comprehension both in reading and listening. This paper mainly discusses the relationship between language and culture, the effects of cultural background on sutdents' listening comprehension and the way to give a better class in listening by transmitting culture. |
