| Abstract: | Through analyzing in detail the types and overall frame of the collection and resources characteristic of medium -sized and small-sized university libraries, this paper makes it clear that the characteristic database construction is the inevitable choice o f medium-sized and small-sized university libraries in digital age and proposes new tentative plan about constructing characteristic databases such as making the local information as the central and using the free network resources. 4 refs. |
