MV10 is an MCU which consists of PWM, ADC,CAN and some other function blocks. It is designed for car body’s control. Advanced
peripheral bus (APB) is a low speed AMBA bus connecting low-power peripherals. This paper presents an implementation of APB
interface for MV10 MCU. After that, MV10 can be integrated into any AMBA system on chips (SoCs) easily. We have built a multi-core
system with ABMA to verify this design. In this system ARM9 is a main processor mounted on AHB and MV10 acts as a low-power
and low-speed slaver on APB. Before building this system, some operations are encapsulated into a task with dedicated ID.
MV10 works as a co-processor with ARM by acquiring task ID from ARM. The result of simulation indicates that MCU can work
well as expected. Based on our design, MV10 can be mounted on any AMBA system from now on. 相似文献

Malignant gliomas are the most devastating tumors in clinical practice and nave poorest survival, Immunological treatment of such patients may likely increase the survival and quality of life. Dendritic cells (DCs), most potent antigen presenting cells in combination with oral chemotherapeutic agents may be tried for patients giving consent to such treatment. We have successfully combined the two therapies in an adult male patient who was on downhill course after being operated on once with post operation chemotherapy and radiotherapy for glioma in the left parietal area. He received five dendritic cell therapy vaccines in combination with oral chemotherapy and responded dramatically having near normal quality of life for an additional five months with this regime, increasing the survival after operation to 11 months. This therapy is continuing with radiological betterment of the lesion. The DCs are matured with antigen extracted from wax embedded tissue at 6th day of culture. We feel that the treatment can be given to more number of patients to establish its efficacy for the dreaded cancer glioblastoma multiforme. 相似文献

Normal cells in our body that constitute a cellular society are not selfish and this is evident by the fact that they have
evolved a phenomenal pathway whereby they cause their own death under conditions of stress that lie beyond the absorbing capacity
of the cell. This phenomenon is known as ‘Apoptosis’ or ‘Programmed Cell Death’. However, cancerous cells, which are indeed
selfish and proliferate at the cost of their normal counterparts, evade the apoptotic pathway by hindering the mitochondrial
release of the proapoptotic protein cytochrome c (Cyt c). Here, we have proposed a scheme whereby the power of proteasome
(an intracellular protein chopper) could be harnessed to remove the obstruction placed by cancer cell to the apoptotic process
and thereby pushing the cancerous cells to self-destruction, leading to a possible cure for cancer. 相似文献

Using multi-institutional data from the Cooperative Institutional Research Program’s (CIRP) annual survey of entering freshmen,
the Higher Education Research Institute’s (HERI) Faculty Surveys, campus registrars’ offices, and IPEDS data, we evaluated
the extent to which peer institutional retention climates and faculty perceived campus climates influenced individual 6-year
retention rates. We used hierarchical generalized linear models (HGLM) to examine the extent to which institutional climate
(as measured by peer institutional retention climate and faculty perceived climate), net of students’ ability, expectations,
and family socioeconomic status, influence students’ persistence behavior. We found that institutional retention climate,
as defined by a student body’s aggregated report of withdrawal intentions, did independently determine whether a student would
persist or not. While past research has overlooked peer and faculty climates, the results from this work call for the attention
of peer institutional retention climates.

Vaccines require optimal adjuvants including immunopotentiator and delivery systems to offer long term protection from infectious diseases in animals and man. Initially it was believed that adjuvants are responsible for promoting strong and sustainable antibody responses. Now it has been shown that adjuvants influence the isotype and avidity of antibody and also affect the properties of cell-mediated immunity. Mostly oil emulsions, lipopolysaccharides, polymers, saponins, liposomes, cytokines, ISCOMs (immunostimulating complexes), Freund’s complete adjuvant, Freund’s incomplete adjuvant, alums, bacterial toxins etc., are common adjuvants under investigation. Saponin based adjuvants have the ability to stimulate the cell mediated immune system as well as to enhance antibody production and have the advantage that only a low dose is needed for adjuvant activity. In the present study the importance of adjuvants, their role and the effect of saponin in immune system is reviewed. 相似文献

Takayasu’s arteritis (TA), also known as the “pulseless disease,” is a chronic vasculitis of the aorta and aortic branches.
TA with Crohn’s disease is rare and has not been documented in China before. In this paper we report on a case of Takayasu’s
arteritis associated with concurrent Crohn’s disease. A 17-year-old Chinese male developed upper limb sourness and a sensation
of fatigue, and his upper limb pulses were absent. He was diagnosed with TA and underwent an axillary artery bypass with autologous
great saphenous vein on the left subclavian artery. After the surgery, he regained the normal blood pressure. This patient
also had years of diarrhea and developed an anal canal ulcer, and was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and ulcerative
colitis before. Five months after the TA surgery, he was hospitalized for severe stomachache and diarrhea and was finally
diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. The possible pathophysiological mechanisms responsible for concurrent existence of TA and
Crohn’s disease may be associated with immune disorders, especially autoimmunity.

It has been over ten years since the Teacher’s Law took effect on January 1, 1994, and its promulgation and implementation have somewhat helped in protecting teachers’ legal
rights and interests. Undeniably, however, the Teacher’s Law is defective in many aspects, such as the absence of teachers’ legal identity, its failure to safeguard a teacher’s essential
interests and rights, serious laggardness of the teacher’s appointment system and obstacles to dealing with teachers’ complaints
and litigations. All such defectiveness make the legislative purpose “to safeguard the teacher’s legal rights and interests”
in Article 1 of the Teacher’s Law less effective in practice. Therefore, in order to judicially assist teachers in safeguarding their own legal rights and
interests, it is necessary to modify the Teacher’s Law and especially give priorities to: (1) defining the identity of the state staff member for teachers; (2) treating teachers
owed to in arrears as peasant-workers, and paying and remunerating them punctually (3) formulating detailed measures on the
implementation of the teacher’s appointment system as soon as possible, solving problems of unemployment of teachers arising
from the inequality between the teacher’s rights, the school’s power and the absence of the teacher’s identity; (4) establishing
a lawsuit system connected with teachers’ complaints and personnel arbitration.

The South African obsession with performance-based pedagogies, as I have shown, has negative implications for resolving equity problems in educational reforms; it threatens to negate a political debate about ‘goals’ in favour of a technician’s debate about ‘ends’; and it fragments knowledge into meaningless tasks that assign value to external behaviours rather than the multiplicity of ways in which learning and valuing can be experienced (if not always expressed). The real danger to building a strong democratic culture through education is that what should be vibrant debates about ‘what’s worth knowing’ could be effectively silenced in a performance assessment system that only values, through a complex assessment system, that which is worth doing. Such an understanding of education is, unfortunately, entrenched in a global network of economic and technological processes that make such pursuits appear both normal and inevitable. 相似文献

Detracking and heterogeneous groupwork are two educational practices that have been shown to have promise for affording all
students needed learning opportunities to develop mathematical proficiency. However, teachers face significant pedagogical
challenges in organizing productive groupwork in these settings. This study offers an analysis of one teacher’s role in creating
a classroom system that supported student collaboration within groups in a detracked, heterogeneous geometry classroom. The
analysis focuses on four categories of the teacher’s work that created a set of affordances to support within group collaborative
practices and links the teacher’s work with principles of complex systems.

Although Hong Kong’s education system has long been criticized as lacking in creativity and over-emphasising rote learning,
on the whole it has served Hong Kong well in the past years, breeding outstanding business, academic and political leaders
who continue to maintain Hong Kong’s competitive edge. The traditional elite schools have played a crucial role in the process.
The education reform, which is still on-going, aims to overhaul the entire system by introducing the “through-road” model.
To accomplish this, some mechanisms need to be changed. J.P. Farrell’s concepts of equality and equity, C.W. Mills’ concept
of elitism, and P. Bourdieu and J. Coleman’s concepts of cultural and social capital will be applied to analyse the consequences
of the reform. The paper argues that the education reform may be well-intentioned in eliminating some elements of inequality
and inequity in education, but that this comes at the expense of Hong Kong’s cultural and social capital and leads to the

This paper examines important factors in maximizing children’s experiential learning in the context of inquiry-based children’s
museums. Learning is understood as situated in physical, social, and interactive context that is best achieved when children
have opportunities to engage in play-based inquiry. Recommendations for maximizing children’s learning in museums, supporting

Higher education, an integral part of China’s nation-building project, is a critical element in China’s strategic policy initiative
of building national strength through science and education. One way to achieve this goal is to develop a higher education
system of international stature. Perhaps more than any other country, through national programs such as 211 and 985, China
has been explicit in selecting its best universities for intensive investment, with the expressed aim of making them world-class
within coming decades, and contributing more to overall R&D and scientific development. Analysing how these top-tier universities
in China are reaching for the gold standard, and using Tsinghua University as an example, this article examines the role of
higher education in China’s rise and how Chinese universities are responding to the drive for innovation, against a background
of globalisation and internationalisation. It analyses the experience of Tsinghua, a Chinese flagship university, sometimes
dubbed ‘China’s MIT’, through an in-depth case study in an international context, seeking to answer the question of how far

Research repeatedly documents that teachers are underprepared to teach mathematics effectively in diverse classrooms. A critical
aspect of learning to be an effective mathematics teacher for diverse learners is developing knowledge, dispositions, and
practices that support building on children’s mathematical thinking, as well as their cultural, linguistic, and community-based
knowledge. This article presents a conjectured learning trajectory for prospective teachers’ (PSTs’) development related to
integrating children’s multiple mathematical knowledge bases (i.e., the understandings and experiences that have the potential to shape and support children’s mathematics learning—including
children’s mathematical thinking, and children’s cultural, home, and community-based knowledge), in mathematics instruction.
Data were collected from 200 PSTs enrolled in mathematics methods courses at six United States universities. Data sources
included beginning and end-of-semester surveys, interviews, and PSTs’ written work. Our conjectured learning trajectory can
serve as a tool for mathematics teacher educators and researchers as they focus on PSTs’ development of equitable mathematics

Stem cells can be obtained from women’s menstrual blood derived from the endometrium. The cells display stem cell markers
such as Oct-4, SSEA-4, Nanog, and c-kit (CD117), and have the potent ability to differentiate into various cell types, including
the heart, nerve, bone, cartilage, and fat. There has been no evidence of teratoma, ectopic formation, or any immune response
after transplantation into an animal model. These cells quickly regenerate after menstruation and secrete many growth factors
to display recurrent angiogenesis. The plasticity and safety of the acquired cells have been demonstrated in many studies.
Menstrual blood-derived stem cells (MenSCs) provide an alternative source of adult stem cells for research and application
in regenerative medicine. Here we summarize the multipotent properties and the plasticities of MenSCs and other endometrial

Since the 1920’s many researchers have conducted studies exploring the qualities of good teachers. However, a limited number
of empirical studies have been conducted in the People’s Republic of China (hereafter called China). The current study has
two objectives. The first one aims to compare a good teacher’s characteristics in China and the USA. To achieve this, qualitative
data of a good teacher’s characteristics were collected in China. The results obtained from China were then compared to those
reported in the USA. The second objective was to test whether or not there are differences among teachers’, students’ and
parents’ perceptions of a good teacher’s characteristics in China. To achieve this, questionnaires were administered, and
then statistical analyses were conducted. The qualitative data analyses have revealed four themes about the characteristics
of good Chinese teachers: Teacher ethics, professional skills, professional development, and students’ test scores. The ANOVAs
have found no differences among teachers’, students’ and parents’ perceptions of the qualities of good teachers in China on
most of the items. This study helps readers better understand good teachers in a Chinese context and provides a framework
for future comparative study between China and the USA regarding the qualities of good teachers. 相似文献

In an era of rapid global economic and social change, educational institutions like schools and universities are struggling
to keep their curricula and programs relevant. Singapore’s schools are no exception, especially when education is viewed as
the essential element for maintaining the nation’s global competitiveness in ways that are totally disproportionate to its
size. The current shift from an ‘efficiency-’ to an ‘ability-’ driven paradigm in education, however, is increasing uncertainty
and raising the stakes in an already pressurized system where schools, educators and students constantly compete for top academic
awards and rewards. The concept of “partnership” in Singapore education is a significant, relatively new, trend that has caught
on among local schools only since the late-1990s, with the focus on creating better “total” learning environments for students.
This paper analyses the challenges of matching rhetoric with professional practice with regard to school–home partnerships
in Singapore, and concludes that the key to authentic collaboration lies in the mutual appreciation and valuing of diversity
as well as a deep sense of shared responsibility by all parties concerned. 相似文献

This study focuses on mothers’ and young children’s everyday social experience by analyzing their social relationships, social
support in child care, mother-child interaction, and mothers’ evaluations of all these aspects. Three hundred and eighty-four
mothers with a child aged between I and 3 years, living in a city in Central Italy, were interviewed. A Principal Components
Analysis was performed on items concerning mothers’ and children’s social experience and mothers’ evaluations. Four PCA generated
factors were regressed on the mother’s and Four PCA generated factors were regressed on the mother’s and child’s characteristics.
Results show that, even in a context characterized by social conditions supportive to mothering, there is a comparatively
widespread desire for social interaction with other mothers and children. A stress related to intensive mothering was found
in a minority of the mothers and was predicted by the mothers’ continuous commitment in child care during the whole day. Results
are discussed in relation to the hypothesis that social contacts with other mothers may have a mitigating effect on mothers’
stress. One implication is that early educational services that provide the opportunity for social intercourse among parents

This article explores the meaning of child-centeredness in Early Childhood Education (ECE), by shedding light on the nuanced
tensions between teacher control and children’s freedom. While ECE professionals advocate the importance of children’s individual
interests and needs in education, they diverge somewhat in their perspectives about the teacher’s role in education. This
article manifests and tries to resolve this teaching dilemma through incorporating the related theories (Piaget, Vygotsky,
Dewey, and Montessori) upholding and encompassing child-centeredness. The author contends that high teacher control and high
children’s freedom are not exclusive of one another: children’s freedom is defined in an active way, as freedom to participate,
rather than in a passive way, as freedom from any constrains. The paper concludes with a metaphor of “impressionist painting”,
which may offer some insights helpful to those who have struggled with the tension between teacher control and children’s
freedom in the context of progressive and critical pedagogy. 相似文献

The Singapore education system plays a central role in the mythology of the young country’s nation building project. The education
system is portrayed as the cradle of Singapore’s multiracialism, fostering racial harmony and understanding. Yet this historical
study of primary school English textbooks from the 1970s to the present reveals that since the beginning of the 1980s they
have been systemically designed in such a way that they evoke high levels of racial consciousness, and at their worst have
displayed a pro-Chinese bias that has deprived non-Chinese children of inspiring role models. This study helps to explain
the results of recent sociological research that has cast doubt on the effectiveness of the Singapore education system as
