提供满足当代大学生健康学习与研究需要的服务,是英国高校图书馆支持教学与科研的创新举措.利用网络调查及馆员咨询的方法,调查了30所英国高校图书馆支持学生健康的服务现状,并对其中3所图书馆进行案例分析.英国高校图书馆提供了信息资源、物理空间与活动项目三方面的健康支持服务,服务策略包括开展合作、设立团队、关注特殊需求、强调学生参与服务、加强服务营销.我国高校图书馆应将支持学生健康的理念融入服务工作;联合校内机构及寻求校外支持;组建专业的健康支持服务小组;关注危机学生群体及高压学习阶段;重视学生健康需求与提升服务价值. 相似文献

[目的/意义]高校图书馆利用状况及其对学生学习结果的影响是图书馆成效评估的重要方面之一，高校如何提升图书馆对学生学习活动的支持水平，学生自身又怎样提高利用图书馆的能力是本研究之价值意义所在。[方法/过程]基于"2017年首都大学生就读经验调查"，研究采用t检验、单因素方差分析、相关分析以及回归分析等方法分析高校图书馆利用现状及其对学生学习结果的影响。[结果/结论]结果显示，不同学生群体对图书馆利用程度存在差异，图书馆利用与学生学业成绩、在校满意度、学习收获呈显著正相关关系，且图书馆利用影响学生学习结果。基于此，建议高校加强对低年级、农村学生等图书馆利用情况较差学生群体的引导；图书馆自身提升综合实力，提升信息化服务质量，加强图书馆学习空间、专业馆员队伍、学生信息素养教育等资源建设；大学生自身要提升利用图书馆资源的意识与能力。 相似文献

从获得感的视角把握大学生对图书馆的综合感知水平,以期为强化大学生阅读意愿提供数据参考。本文以天津美术学院为例,使用Binary Logistic回归方法,从空间资源环境和人文环境两个维度分析大学生的图书馆获得感及其对阅读意愿的影响。结果发现,大学生的图书馆获得感处于一般水平且具有层次特征;大学生图书馆获得感存在群体差异,微信公众号使用程度、月阅读量、主要阅读方式及阅读能力感知的影响显著;在控制个体特征后,大学生的图书馆获得感对其阅读意愿具有显著的正向影响。 相似文献

Summary The authors use English 101, their primary program, as a springboard for a discussion of teaching as a library function. Both view the one-hour presentation that is commonly done in libraries as grossly inadequate; they offer solutions that are working at Washington State University Libraries. Many college students choose or need to work, and academic libraries offer a potentially convenient on-campus location for employment. Students serving in these roles may benefit from the experience both academically and socially. By examining students' experience as workers in the library, academic libraries have the opportunity to understand the benefits that such work might provide and intentionally plan to enhance learning and demonstrate library value in a novel way. This basic qualitative study sought to explore the experiences of student assistants working in an academic library and identify the benefits and challenges they perceived as a result of enacting the role. Individual interviews were conducted with seven undergraduate student library assistants at a doctoral-granting institution to determine benefits and challenges they noted that resulted from their experiences in this student employment role, and findings reveal opportunities for academic librarians in training and supervising student employees. 相似文献

The content of library instruction sessions associated with college biology is examined. A review of the literature is supplemented by a survey of instruction librarians at Ohio institutions offering biology majors. The literature and survey responses indicate that a typical instruction session occurs once during an academic term, highlights automated access to the library catalog and Biological Abstracts, discusses the difference between journals and magazines, and does not test the students or offer an opportunity for evaluation of the instruction session. More of the library instruction sessions described in the literature were associated with introductory biology courses than in the survey responses. 相似文献

ABSTRACTThis study used a quantitative survey to investigate the knowledge and use of online databases and the library's online public access catalog by final-year business associate degree students in five selected Jamaican community colleges. The study sought to determine students’ knowledge of electronic library resources, their value for electronic and print resources, the purposes for which students use electronic library resources, the influences on student use of electronic library resources, and the effects of training and instruction. Results from the study indicated that students are increasingly using Internet search engines for research purposes rather than online databases. Results also indicated that electronic library resources such as the OPAC are being underutilized by community college students. It was evident that proper instructional guidance is needed and welcomed by students. The findings of the study are critical to the implementation of policies and procedures geared toward sensitizing school administrators, library professionals, and other stakeholders to the benefits of increasing students’ knowledge and use of electronic library resources. Data will aid administrators in strategic planning and investments pertaining to these resources, and provide recommendations to improve knowledge and use of these resources within libraries. The research illustrates the special needs of community college students in Jamaica, particularly relating to needed instructional programs, in an effort to impart knowledge and promote the use of electronic library resources in these colleges. 相似文献

Despite national concern with general educational articulation for high school students making the transition to college, little research has been reported in the literature specifically on library use/research skills. This paper summarizes recent literature on this topic from an academic librarian's point of view. In addition, the results of a survey of academic library user education services provided to high school students in Washington State are reported and contrasted to current cooperative efforts in other states.
