This paper reviews the contribution that Prometheus has made over the past 20 years to the literature on innovation, innovation policy and technological change. I offer first a necessarily subjective view of how the research literatures of innovation and innovation policy have developed in recent decades. I then compare that account with an interpretation of the emphases and trends in the corresponding areas in Prometheus. The research literatures involved are vast, located in many specific discipline areas and cross many discipline boundaries. While my ‘home’ discipline is economics I believe much can still be learned from the flexible and imaginative use of economics to frame research inquiry in the innovation area. 相似文献

Science policy, as the theme appears in Prometheus over the last 20 years, has been represented by discussions of industrial competitiveness. Many comparative articles have appeared under this theme, as well as evaluations of policies aimed at innovation. By the mid‐1980s, articles in Prometheus were tracing the emergence of the knowledge economy, with some of its associated issues. The issue of human resources for the knowledge economy has received scant attention, however, but Prometheus authors have discussed public participation in science policymaking and setting priorities. Finally, authors have noted and analyzed the closer management of Australian science to direct it toward economic ends. Overall, Prometheus has tracked the dominant themes of science policy in other OECD countries well, and also given space to issues that are less prominent but nonetheless important. 相似文献

目前安全科学学科体系和安全信息论中,安全信息经济学尚为空白。开展安全信息经济学学科构建,进一步完善安全科学学科体系,促进安全信息研究与应用。首先,基于安全信息学、安全经济学与信息经济学的基本理论,提炼出安全信息经济学的定义并阐释其内涵;然后,论述安全信息经济学的理论基础并凝练其研究内容,从5个方面概括安全信息经济学的研究方法,提出安全信息经济学的研究程序;最后,从3个方面展望安全信息经济学的应用前景。研究结果表明,安全信息经济学的构建具有坚实的理论基础和广泛的应用前景:在理论方面,可作为安全信息学和安全经济学的下属学科;在实践方面,可用于企业安全资源优化配置、安全管理和风险决策等。 相似文献

当前,随着生态环境问题变得日益严重,人们越来越多地开始关注和讨论起生态经济学。在国内学术界,通常把生态经济学理解为是用主流经济学的理论与方法来解释和解决生态环境问题的应用型学问。但是在国际上,生态经济学是要反思主流经济学的理论与方法,重建有关经济增长、社会公平、生态规模的新的总体性发展理论与行动原则,因此被认为是可持续发展的经济学和管理学。本文概括了20世纪70年代以来国际生态经济学的主要研究成果,指出生态经济学与当前作为主流的新古典经济学的5方面的差异。在此基础上,指出研究生态经济学对于中国未来从经济增长走向科学发展的理论意义与政策意义。 相似文献

西方经济学对经济发展问题的研究,推动了教育经济学学科的独立,建构了教育经济学研究的理论基础,并提供了教育经济学研究的工具与范式,但教育经济学与西方经济学一脉相承的关系,也使得教育经济学研究中存在过于注重教育的经济效益,放大教育的经济功能及忽视教育阶级属性的问题。对此影响,我国教育经济学研究应从多学科研究中汲取营养,将教育经济学研究置于我国实际的教育环境中,全面围绕人的发展和人本价值的实现来开展。 相似文献

水资源经济学是研究水资源利用中人类选择行为的经验科学,其目的是实现水资源在时间和空间上的合理配置与利用。但是,目前该领域的研究还仅仅停留在将水价、水市场、水供需以及水管理等内容简单罗列的层次上,尚未形成贯穿始终的分析方法和框架,这势必会影响到学科的长足发展。要改变这一现状,本文认为要做到如下3点:①水资源经济学的研究必须以水资源生产力特征为主线,按水资源自然属性研究、人与水关系研究、水资源利用中人与人关系研究3个层次展开,并据此构建水资源经济学研究框架;②水资源经济学的研究需要融合不同的经济理论,运用GIS分析工具,并借助水文-经济耦合模型来描述水资源利用中的经济规律;③水资源经济学的研究核心应是人的用水行为,其可以分为人对水资源的影响行为和水资源利用中的利益分配行为。 相似文献

Community of practice theory is inherently a social theory. As such it is distinct from more individualist accounts of human behavior, such as mainstream economics. Consequently, community of practice theory and economics favor different accounts of knowledge. Taking a community of practice perspective, this article challenges economists' attempts to reduce knowledge to information held by individuals and to reject tacit knowledge as mere uncodified explicit knowledge. The essay argues that Polanyi's notion of a tacit dimension affected numerous disciplines (including economics) because it addressed aspects of learning and identity that conventional social sciences overlooked. The article situates knowledge, identity, and learning within communities and points to ethical and epistemic entailments of community practice. In so doing it attempts to limit, rather than expand, the scope of community of practice analysis and to stress the difference, rather than the commonalities, between this and other apparently congenial forms of social analysis. 相似文献

Abstract While economic systems have become increasingly information‐intensive, economic modeling has yet to incorporate a balanced view of information as a resource. A common substitute, the assumption that more information is better than less, has dangerous consequences because it usually lacks a typology of information, assumes that expected productivity increases are realized, and neglects both equity aspects and the need to search for more appropriate forms of organization.
