西套蒙古,亦称阿拉善蒙古,实为被噶尔丹击败逃至西套地区的厄鲁特蒙古。他们被夹于清朝与准噶尔两大势力之间,处境窘迫。清廷认为西套蒙古是噶尔丹部属,应由噶尔丹收归,并就此与噶尔丹长期交涉,成为双方关系的一个焦点。由于清朝政府对西套蒙古的战略地位缺乏足够认识,致使西套蒙古投附清朝经历了异常曲折的过程。 相似文献

17世纪初,属厄鲁特蒙古四部之一的土尔扈特部因与准噶尔部不和,西迁至伏尔加河下游繁衍生息。1771年,土尔扈特部首领渥巴锡率部众起义东归,历时半年,途经艰险和苦难,付出巨大民族牺牲,终于抵达故土,促进了祖国统一、多民族国家的发展。土尔扈特部回归的原因,目前学术界大体归为三个方面的因素:一是沙俄的民族压迫和剥削;二是民族向心力和文化认同;三是清政府的民族和宗教政策。笔者认为:除以上原因之外,准噶尔部的平定也是土尔扈特部东归不可或缺的重要因素之一。 相似文献
