自20世纪媒介技术迅猛发展以来,对于媒介的认识和争论一直没有停止,传播学和媒介研究也正是在此背景下不断发展前行。上世纪六十、七十年代媒介研究范式变革时期,鲍德里亚与恩岑斯贝格两位思想家就媒介理论的基本认识展开一场争论,秉持法兰克福学派传统的恩岑斯贝格在法国"五月风暴"的氤氲下推进本雅明的技术文化理论,发展出了意识工业概念,对于思考媒介理论的合法性问题具有重要意义;对于鲍德里亚来说,媒介技术的"进化",实为一种拟真替代本真的社会交往,以媒介技术为中介的传播活动中,最终将导致人的本真缺失,因而宣告传统媒介理论已失去解释力。本文认为,这两个看似不在一个水平线上的对话实则包含了媒介理论研究的两种路径,即作为生产工具的技术论与作为传播工具的文化论。当我们在回顾和梳理鲍德里亚和恩岑斯贝格的争论时,需要从媒介化社会的视角来重新审视媒介理论的技术论和文化论之间的平衡。 相似文献

媒介奇观理论概述
“媒介奇观”理论是美国媒介文化研究专家道格拉斯·凯尔纳首次提出的.但这一理论可以追溯到法国思想家德波尔在其代表作《景观社会》中提出的“景观”概念,其所谓“景观”是指“被展现出的可视的景观和景色,也可以指一种有意识的、主体性的作秀或者表演”.道格拉斯·凯尔纳以美国当代文化现象和德波尔理论为基础,提出了“媒介奇观”概念,具体的含义是“包括媒介制造的政治事件、豪华场面、体育比赛在内的,能够充分体现现今社会基本价值观的,将当代社会中的冲突和解决方式戏剧化的,能够引导人们适应现代生活方式的媒介文化现象”.在其“媒体文化三部曲”之一的《媒介奇观》一书中,凯尔纳细致地分析了耐克、麦当劳、乔丹、辛普森等案例代表的包含了经济、政治、文化的各种奇观,这种奇观逻辑被当代电视采用,通过各种传播的手段,形成了一个又一个千奇百怪的节目样式. 相似文献

This review essay discusses The Truth of the Technological World (2013), Kittler Now: Current Perspectives in Kittler Studies (2015), and Media After Kittler (2015). These three recently published collections feature essays that cover the history of Kittler’s writing, and trace out the debates about the significance of technical operation to the effects of media. Most importantly, the exegetical essays in these volumes signal a shift from earlier efforts to introduce Kittler’s writings towards a more robust conceptualization of how his work might benefit English-language theorizations of the contemporary media situation. 相似文献

This essay uses the theory of problematic integration to analyze Milan Kundera's writing, particularly the central segment, entitled “Lost Letters,” in his first novel written as an emigre. The theory is concerned with the role of communication when desires and expectations diverge, or when we face ambiguity, ambivalence, or impossibility (i.e., when it is difficult to integrate evaluative and probabilistic orientations). Communication plays many significant roles in experiences with such difficulties. The essay reviews problematic integration theory and presents a case study of Kundera's writing designed to illuminate both the theory and a work by one of the most significant of modern novelists. The essay concludes by discussing the relevance of problematic integration theory to other approaches to the study of communication and by identifying questions for future communication research. 相似文献
