Bayesian Regularized Multivariate Generalized Latent Variable Models

We consider a multivariate generalized latent variable model to investigate the effects of observable and latent explanatory variables on multiple responses of interest. Various types of correlated responses, such as continuous, count, ordinal, and nominal variables, are considered in the regression. A generalized confirmatory factor analysis model that is capable of managing mixed-type data is proposed to characterize latent variables via correlated observed indicators. In addressing the complicated structure of the proposed model, we introduce continuous underlying measurements to provide a unified model framework for mixed-type data. We develop a multivariate version of the Bayesian adaptive least absolute shrinkage and selection operator procedure, which is implemented with a Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm in a full Bayesian context, to simultaneously conduct estimation and model selection. The empirical performance of the proposed methodology is demonstrated through a simulation study. An application of the proposed method to a study of adolescent substance abuse based on the National Longitudinal Survey of Youth is presented.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Using the notion of structure of feeling by Raymond Williams, this article seeks to illuminate an ideological understanding of Korean English teachers’ anxiety and deep sense of insecurity in English language teaching (ELT). Through a discussion of how their anxiety is grounded deeply within unequal social relations and how they reframe their anxiety through critical reflection on the cultural and ideological bias of their own anxiety, it points out the intricate relationship between ideology and emotion; teachers’ emotions are shaped by dominant ideologies that constitute the social structures constraining their position as teachers, while their engagement with those emotions also enables their self-transformation towards gaining confidence as teachers. The results of the study emphasise the tension between social structure and agency in teachers’ emotional experiences and discuss implications for teacher education and development.  相似文献

Modelling and Simulation of System Dynamics of Hybrid-Driven Precision Press

Different from conventional mechanical systems with single degree of freedom (DOF),the main idea of the system of hybrid-driven precision press is to combine the motion of a constant speed motor with a servomotor via a two-DOF mechanism to provide flexible output. In order to make the feasibility clear, this paper studies theoretically the dynamic characteristics of this hybriddriven mechanical system. Firstly,the dynamics model of the whole electromechanical system is set up by combining dynamic equations of DC motors with those of two-DOF nine-bar mechanism deduced by the Lagrange‘s formula. Secondly through the numerical solution with the fourth Runge-Kutta, computer simulation about the dynamics is done, which shows that the designed and optimized hybrid-driven precision press is feasible in theory. These provide theoretical basis for later experimental research.  相似文献

A series of Lil-xNaxV3O8 materials was prepared by solution reaction followed by calcination method and their electrochemical performances in 2 M LieSOa-water-ethanol solution as negative electrodes for aqueous electrolyte lithium ion battery were studied and compared each other. X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that partially substituting sodium for lithium in LiV3Os could increase the interlayer distances of （100） plane. Cyclic voltammetric experiments have demonstrated that the Li^＋ insertion and extraction kinetics of Li0.7Na0.3V3O8 is superior to that of LiV3O8. Charge/discharge results showed that the discharge specific capacity of Li0.7Na0.3V3O8 electrode is higher than that of LiV3O8 electrode.  相似文献

多壁碳纳米管苯胺复合材料的制备及其性能研究

采用共混法制备了多壁碳纳米管苯胺复合材料(MWCNT—ANCTC),通过红外光谱分析了该复合材料的可能反应机理;本文还对该复合材料的荧光性质进行了测定,并对影响其荧光强度的因素及原因进行了讨论.另外发现该复合材料膜能促进电子的转移,对Cu2 有特殊的响应,这将使得该复合材料在Cu2 的定性定量检测领域有很好的应用前景和价值.  相似文献
