General University Requirements at Hong Kong Polytechnic University: evaluation findings based on student focus groups

Under the new four-year undergraduate programme, a general education framework titled ‘General University Requirements’ (GUR) has been developed and implemented since 2012/2013 at Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). To evaluate the implementation and effectiveness of the GUR in its first year, focus group interviews with students were carried out. In 13 focus groups, 62 first-year students from eight faculties/schools who took GUR subjects in 2012/2013 academic year were interviewed by trained researchers. Results showed that students generally had good perceptions of the GUR in terms of the subject content, teaching methods and the overall effectiveness of the subjects. The interactive teaching and learning initiatives adopted in GUR subjects were particularly appreciated, although students expressed minor concerns on the administration of GUR subjects. The results suggest that the first-year implementation of the GUR at PolyU was generally smooth and successful from the perspectives of the students.  相似文献   

Inclusion Practices in Elementary Physical Education: A Social-cognitive Perspective

This study explored inclusion practices in general physical education (GPE) from the experiences and perspectives of elementary physical education teachers. The stories of four teachers (two females, two males) between 27 and 57 years of age were gathered using the phenomenological methods of semi-structured interviews, photographs, school documents, and field notes. Bandura’s social-cognitive theory provided a conceptual framework to interpret the findings of this inquiry. Three themes emerged from the thematic analysis: engaging in learning; adapting strategies to meet students’ needs; and moving beyond the educational goals. The findings suggest that inclusion practices (teacher’s behaviours) in GPE were constructed by the dynamic interactions between teachers’ knowledge of disability and motivation to learn about their students (personal factors) and children’s needs and learning goals (environment).  相似文献   

Programme recruitment and evaluation: the effect of an employability enhancement programme on the general self-efficacy levels of unemployed graduates

This paper reports research that engaged in the evaluation of an intervention programme designed to enhance the employability of a group of unemployed graduates. The evaluation adopted a quasi-experimental intervention research method employing a general self-efficacy scale, which had been validated in prior research. Results revealed that participants displayed higher levels of GSE after engagement in the programme. Results also revealed the effect of ‘behavioural plasticity’ on the intervention experiences of unemployed graduate participants. The findings of this study are discussed in relation to programme design, recruitment and evaluation.  相似文献

公路机械设备信息管理系统设计

本文通过对依托单位现行机械设备管理现状的分析,结合实际的管理流程及用户需求,提出了公路机械设备信息管理系统的设计思想。并利用面向对象的可视化编程工具VB.NET和SQL server2000数据库进行编程,完成了设备信息管理系统的设计。系统对设备进行在线跟踪式管理,将管理人员和操作人员的实际工作纳入管理方案。通过统一的管理方式和规范的管理流程,减轻了管理工作量,同时又提高了工作效率。本系统功能齐全,接口友好,具有较好的实用价值。  相似文献

管理者特征、R&D投入与企业绩效

    本文以2016年年底上市满三年的沪深A股科技型企业为对象,从年龄、教育、任期与职称四个维度,分析管理者特征、R&D投入与企业绩效间的关系,研究R&D投入在其间的中介效应。研究认为：（1）管理者人力资本特征中的教育程度、职称、任期以及年龄异质性、任期异质性与企业绩效关系显著;（2）管理者的教育程度、任期、职称、与任期异质性、年龄异质性与R&D投入之间影响显著;（3）企业R&D投入是企业管理者人力资本与公司绩效间的中介变量,管理者的任期、教育程度、职称、任期异质性、年龄异质性对公司绩效的影响是通过R&D投入传导的。  相似文献   

基于CGE模型的海洋生态补偿宏观经济效应

近年来,海洋经济的快速发展导致海洋生态坏境面临的压力越来越大。为保护海洋生态系统,实现海洋自然资源的可持续利用,亟需建立相应的海洋生态补偿机制,并探索生态补偿的标准问题。本文通过编制2017年中国宏观经济社会核算矩阵,构建中国宏观经济可计算一般均衡模型,模拟了征收不同程度的海洋生态补偿税对经济活动的影响。研究发现：①在征收生态补偿税的情形下,将政府收入增加的部分作为海洋生态补偿的专项资金,能够有效提高海洋生态补偿量。在生态补偿税设置为增值税的5%的情况下,海洋生态补偿量较初始情形相比,提升了4.07倍。②生态补偿税的征收会引起居民收入、企业收入、国外储蓄和国内生产总值的下降,对经济发展产生一定的阻碍作用。其中,居民收入和国外储蓄受影响较大,企业收入和国内生产总值受影响较小。因此,需要制定合理的生态补偿标准和政策,实现生态环境和社会经济的协调发展。  相似文献   

低年级本科生人工智能通识选修课教学方法研究
