[目的/意义] 毕业生是高校图书馆的特定用户之一,对"毕业季"延伸服务和活动进行调查与分析,可为相关实践工作提供参考。[方法/过程] 对2017年高校图书馆"毕业季"延伸服务和活动的网页新闻发布、微信推送情况进行抽样调查,并分析其总体特点。[结果/结论] 从专项经费和运营团队、馆员的情感与精力、经典项目、创意服务、与校友延伸服务对接、品牌化与推广方面,提出改进高校图书馆"毕业季"延伸服务的建议。  相似文献

[目的/意义] 传统的集成图书馆系统(ILS)正在被图书馆服务平台(LSP)所取代,国内许多高校图书馆致力于对ILS的评估和对LSP的考察。然而,LSP的产品多种多样,图书馆很难决定哪种LSP最适合他们。对目前LSP主流产品的市场格局、发展情况进行分析,旨在为计划由ILS转向LSP的高校图书馆决策提供参考。[方法/过程] 基于国外高校图书馆使用LSP的体验和感知,对市场上主要的图书馆服务平台进行分析、评估和总结。[结果/结论]由于ILS/LSP市场的整合,LSP供应商数量正在缩减,目前只有Alma、Sierra和OCLC WMS得到充分实施。此外,开源项目FOLIO的推出为图书馆提供了另外一种思路。但目前这种单一的整合性图书馆服务平台不是解决方案,基于平台由若干松散耦合的组件构成的图书馆生态系统,才是图书馆真正的下一代服务平台,自主创新,研发适合国内图书馆环境的下一代开放服务平台迫在眉睫。  相似文献

A review of ebook preservation activities for the North American library consortia is provided along with a look at the major preservation services such as Portico, CLOCKSS and HathiTrust. [目的/意义] 从用户感知的角度,构建公共档案馆微信公众平台服务质量影响因素模型,为公共档案馆服务质量优化奠定基础。[方法/过程] 通过问卷调查构建公共档案馆微信公众平台服务质量影响因素模型,使用SPSS软件,用探索性因子分析方法对假设模型进行检验,根据结果对假设模型进行修正,并对修正后的影响因素模型进行讨论。[结果/结论] 从用户感知角度全面综合分析微信公众平台上公共档案馆服务质量影响因素的构成,主要包括服务过程与系统运行、用户特征与费用、档案内容的内部特征、档案内容的外部特征和公众平台界面设计5个维度以及服务交互性等25个影响因素。  相似文献

Library access to justice programs and services help people who need legal information and who cannot afford an attorney. Librarian mediation is a critical component in the provision of access to justice services. However, the value of library mediation, or assistance with using library resources, is often unrecognized, particularly where members of the public are trying to access electronic legal information sources, online legal forms, and other law technologies. This article will explore the role of librarians in providing access to justice services from the perspective of the work of Richard Susskind, which emphasizes technological approaches to providing legal services. While there is a place for technology in access to justice services, there is also a valuable role that librarians play in contributing to access to justice.  相似文献

Increased genetic testing in personalized medicine presents unique challenges for couples, including managing disease risk and potential discrimination as a couple. This study investigated couples’ conflicts and support gaps as they coped with perceived genetic discrimination. We also explored the degree to which communal coping was beneficial in reducing support gaps and ultimately stress. Dyadic analysis of married adults (N?=?266, 133 couples), in which one person had the genetic risk for serious illness, showed that perceived discrimination predicted more frequent conflicts about alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency-related treatment, privacy boundaries, and finances, which, in turn, predicted wider gaps in emotion and esteem support, and greater stress for both spouses. Communal coping predicted lower support gaps for both partners and marginally lower stress.  相似文献

This article is the fourth in a series on New Directions. The National Health Service is under pressure, challenged to meet the needs of an ageing population, whilst striving to improve standards and ensure decision making is underpinned by evidence. Health Education England is steering a new course for NHS library and knowledge services in England to ensure access to knowledge and evidence for all decision makers. Knowledge for Healthcare calls for service transformation, role redesign, greater coordination and collaboration. To meet user expectations, health libraries must achieve sustainable, affordable access to digital content. Traditional tasks will progressively become mechanised. Alongside supporting learners, NHS librarians and knowledge specialists will take a greater role as knowledge brokers, delivering business critical services. They will support the NHS workforce to signpost patients and the public to high‐quality information. There is a need for greater efficiency and effectiveness through greater co‐operation and service mergers. Evaluation of service quality will focus more on outcomes, less on counting. These changes require an agile workforce, fit for the future. There is a bright future in which librarians’ expertise is used to mobilise evidence, manage and share knowledge, support patients, carers and families, optimise technology and social media and provide a keystone for improved patient care and safety.  相似文献

Academic libraries have always strived to be purposively involved in the university's mission attainment efforts. Today, the increase of retention levels is paramount, and, in many cases, it is at the center of higher education institution's strategic plans. For Andrews University, for example, the goal is to reach 80% in the next five years. In the United States, student retention efforts become even more critical due, in part, to declining enrollment numbers set off by soaring higher education costs. Academic librarians are aware of the library's role in the university's overall efforts to increase persistence rates and curtail attrition. Through a literature review, this article highlights how academic libraries are participating in this process. This study focuses on how academic libraries can be leaders in their Institutions by adopting a user-centered philosophy and services that will promote life-long learning, enhance students’ academic experience, and promote engagement, leading to retention.  相似文献

Communication quality between public service units in academic libraries can make the difference between mediocre and exceptional service. If units do not communicate well, patrons may receive inaccurate information and experience short-term frustration, leading to long-term damage to the library's reputation. Poor communication creates adverse effects on employees through decreased productivity, negative work culture, and low morale. This article explores the importance of quality communication through a review of the literature and a case study at one academic library.
