Potential theory method for 3D crack and contact problems of multi-field coupled media: A survey

This paper presents an overview of the recent progress of potential theory method in the analysis of mixed boundary value problems mainly stemming from three-dimensional crack or contact problems of multi-field coupled media. This method was used to derive a series of exact three dimensional solutions which should be of great theoretical significance because most of them usually cannot be derived by other methods such as the transform method and the trial-and-error method. Further, many solutions are obtained in terms of elementary functions that enable us to treat more complicated problems easily. It is pointed out here that the method is usually only applicable to media characterizing transverse isotropy, from which, however, the results for the isotropic case can be readily obtained. Persona-Based Journaling: Striving for Authenticity in Representing the Problem-Solving Process

Students’ mathematical problem-solving experiences are fraught with failed attempts, wrong turns, and partial successes that move in fits and jerks, oscillating between periods of inactivity, stalled progress, rapid advancement, and epiphanies. Students’ problem-solving journals, however, do not always reflect this rather organic process. Without proper guidance, some students tend to ‘smooth’ out their experiences and produce journal writing that is less reflective of the process and more representative of their product. In this article, I present research on the effectiveness of a persona-based framework for guiding students’ journaling to reflect the erratic to-and-fro of the problem-solving process more accurately. This framework incorporates the use of three personas—the narrator, the mathematician, and the participant—in telling the tale of the problem-solving process. Results indicate that this persona-based framework is effective in producing more representative journals.  相似文献

科学假设检验思维是科学问题解决的核心,采用二维物理量与空间相互嵌套的杠杆平衡条件发现作业为真实问题情境,研究了小学六年级和初中二年级学生的科学假设检验思维。研究结果表明,启发式是学生进行科学假设检验思维的重要策略;真实问题情境和任务特点影响学生的反应倾向;初中二年级学生能够运用假设检验思维在一定程度上解决含有二维物理量的、熟悉的真实科学问题。  相似文献

同伴接纳与流动儿童外化问题行为的关系:自尊和物质主义的链式中介作用

本研究探讨同伴接纳对流动儿童的外化问题行为的影响,以及自尊、物质主义的链式中介作用。在武汉市三所小学选取478名五、六年级的流动儿童,运用同伴提名法、物质主义价值观量表-儿童版(MVS-c)、自尊量表(SES)、儿童青少年问题行为问卷(CB)进行问卷调查。结果发现,同伴接纳、物质主义价值观、自尊、外化问题行为四者均显著相关;同伴接纳对外化问题行为具有很强的直接预测作用,也会通过物质主义价值观和自尊的部分中介作用而影响外化问题行为,还会通过自尊、物质主义的链式中介作用影响外化问题行为。  相似文献
