The effectiveness of a nap as a recovery strategy for endurance exercise is unknown and therefore the present study investigated the effect of napping on endurance exercise performance. Eleven trained male runners completed this randomised crossover study. On two occasions, runners completed treadmill running for 30?min at 75% ?O2max in the morning, returning that evening to run for 20?min at 60% ?O2max, and then to exhaustion at 90% ?O2max. On one trial, runners had an afternoon nap approximately 90?min before the evening exercise (NAP) whilst on the other, runners did not (CON). All runners napped (20?±?10?min), but time to exhaustion (TTE) was not improved in all runners (NAP 596?±?148?s vs. CON 589?±?216?s, P?=?.83). Runners that improved TTE after the nap slept less at night than those that did not improve TTE (night-time sleep 6.4?±?0.7?h vs. 7.5?±?0.4?h, P?r2 ? =??0.76, P?=?.001). In runners that improved TTE, ratings of perceived exertion (RPE) were lower during the TTE on NAP than CON compared to runners that did not improve (?0.4?±?0.6 vs. 0?±?0, P?=?.05). Reduced exercising sense of effort (RPE) may account for the improved TTE after the nap. In conclusion, a short afternoon nap improves endurance performance in runners that obtain less than 7?h night-time sleep.  相似文献

Abstract

In two experiments we examined changes in the perception of action possibilities as a function of exertion. In Experiment 1, participants repeatedly climbed on a climbing wall in a series of trials that progressively increased in number to 10 trials, resulting in increased exertion. Before and during climbing, the participants judged their maximum reaching height and perceived exertion. On a separate day, participants climbed another 10 trials while performing actual maximum reaches. Higher perceived exertion was associated with decreases in perceived maximum reach while the actual reaches did not decrease. However, the perceptual changes occurred early during task execution when the participants were not yet fatigued. When exertion set in, neither perceived nor actual maximum reaching appeared to be affected. In Experiment 2, we included exhaustion trials. The findings replicated the early changes in perception observed in Experiment 1, which may be explained by hands-on experience with the task. Furthermore, while climbing to exhaustion, perceptual judgements largely changed in keeping with changes in the actual maximum reach. Thus, there appeared to be a functional relationship between participants' actual action capabilities, rather than their state of physical fatigue per se, and perceived action possibilities.  相似文献

Age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is still an incurable blinding eye disease because of complex pathogenic mechanisms and unusual diseased regions.With the use of chemical biology tools,great progress has been achieved in improving the understanding of AMD pathogenesis.The severity of AMD is,at least in part,linked to the non-degradable lipofuscin bis-retinoids in retinal pigment epithelial (RPE).This material is thought to result from the lifelong accumulation of lysosomal residual bodies containing the end products derived from the daily phagocytosis of rod outer segments by RPE cells.Here,we present previously recognized bis-retinoids with focus on structures and biosynthetic pathways.In addition to a brief discussion on the mutual conversion relationships of bis-retinoids,future perspectives and the medical relevance of such studies on these lipofuscin constituents are also highlighted.  相似文献

为了解雾湿天气对机件各种功能活动的影响,本文在晴朗和雾湿二种天气条件下,对机体最大吸氧量以及完成相同递增负荷直至最大工作能力时机体的体力状况进行研究。结果发现,雾湿天气使最大摄氧量和握力显著下降;进行轻量负荷后,心率和RPE与晴朗天气无异,但进行亚极量以上强度运动后,心率和RPE显著增大;在最大负荷工作时,雾显天气使运动至力竭时间显著缩短,而最大心率和最高血乳酸均显著增大。因此认为,雾湿天气对运动能力有不良的影响,并提示在雾温天气下进行体育教学和训练时要适当降低运动负荷。  相似文献

目的:该文使用系统综述方法对关于高强度间歇训练对参与者主观负荷强度(RPE)以及情绪体验影响的现有实证研究主要结果进行整合与综述。方法:通过文献检索与筛查,共纳入22项符合条件的研究,对这些研究从研究设计、参与者特征、HIIT练习任务,以及HIIT对RPE和个体情绪体验影响的主要结果进行了系统分析。结果:(1)现有研究多从HIIT与中等强度连续训练(MICT)的对比研究角度入手;(2)研究被试相对较为单一,HIIT活动以"中量规范"任务为主;(3) HIIT活动中和活动后的RPE等级一般高于或等同于MICT组。(4)对练习的主观情绪检验也多为积极,但较强依赖于单次练习持续的时间。结论:作为一种较为复杂的锻炼活动形式,HIIT对主观负荷强度和情绪体验的影响与MICT相比更为复杂多样,其效果与HIIT任务规范、参与者身体条件等因素密切相关。在此基础上对今后研究亟需解决的问题及应注意的问题进行了讨论。  相似文献

应用主观疲劳量表(RPE)评价训练负荷的过程是一个心理生理过程,量化结果具有较大的主观性和不确定性,需将RPE训练负荷量化结果与生理指标测试结果进行结合分析。对16名大学生足球运动员的多次训练进行跟踪,采集每名运动员每次训练的训练前RPE值、训练后RPE值和整个训练过程的实时心率;采取训练后RPE值(Foster1算法)和训练累积RPE值(Foster2算法),4种心率算法(Banister1、Banister2、Edwards和Stagno)对每名运动员每次训练的内部负荷进行测算;采用相关分析,对两种RPE算法所得每名运动员每次训练的内部训练负荷值与4种心率算法所得的内部训练负荷值的相关性进行检验。显示:两种RPE算法估算的运动负荷:与Banister1算法测算出的相关性平均分别为0.91和0.79;与Banister2算法测算出的相关性平均分别为0.62和0.57;与Edwards算法测算出的相关性平均分别为0.75和0.69;与Stagno算法测算出的相关性平均分别为0.55和0.54。显示:RPE能够有效地量化评估足球运动员的训练负荷,且“训练后RPE值”比“训练累积RPE值”能更加准确地反映足球运动员的训练负荷。  相似文献

目的:探讨阶段运动负荷下调节纤维激酶,RPE与BP间的相关性。方法:以40名运动员为研究对象,采用自身对照法,动态调节纤维激酶,RPE与BP测量,观察运动员休息状态下到运动比赛后48h内的动态调节纤维激酶,RPE和BP变化。测定运动员运动结束后0 h,24 h,48 h的血液血清中总胆固醇(TC)与高密度脂蛋白胆固醇(HDL-C)的动态变化结果。结果:与散打运动前相比,一次运动后,运动员的BP都呈下降趋势,其中舒张压下降的程度更加明显。这种血压下降结果可持续10 h以上,24 h后恢复到运动前水平,运动后TC浓度下降(P0.05),HDL-C浓度上升(P0.05),BP与调节纤维激酶,RPE均无关,运动后24 h,HDL-C浓度持续升高(P0.01),BP受调节纤维激酶影响较大,48 h后,TC浓度恢复正常,HDL-C浓度保持较高,BP受RPE影响较大。结论:阶段运动负荷使人体血脂产生变化,运动对血脂的良好作用可持续48h,推荐3天进行一次运动,调节人体机能。  相似文献

Abstract

This study examined the effect of motivational music on a 20-min sub-maximal cycle task. Eighteen untrained student volunteers (10 males, 8 females) were required to partake in three experimental conditions: no music, oudeterous (non-motivational) music, and motivational music. Participants’ in-task affective states and rate of perceived exertion were assessed on rating scales during the trials and the distance traveled for each trial was recorded. In addition, participants’ attitudes towards the exercise experience were assessed on rating scales administered post-trial. The results of the study indicate that both motivational and oudeterous music can significantly increase distance traveled when compared to the control condition. However, no significant differences were observed between the two music conditions and the increased exercise intensity associated with musical accompaniments was not associated with an increased perception of effort. Both music conditions elicited increased in-task affect and generated equally positive post-task attitudes towards the exercise experience. No significant Gender×Trial interactions were identified for any of the dependent measures.  相似文献
