《女子世界》是晚清众多女性期刊中的翘楚,其主编丁祖荫始终以敏锐热忱的启蒙眼光和心忧天下的身份自觉,广开稿源,尽力延揽、吸纳和培养优质作者,试图建构一个条修叶贯的稿源系统和一支相对稳定且素质较高的作者队伍;其中蕴含的现代编辑理念,不仅在晚清报刊发展中具有一定的先锋意义,而且对于当下中国报刊业的发展也具有重要的启示价值。  相似文献

To determine the impact on the academic mission, the models in this study test whether there is statistical evidence that student graduation rates or alumni giving rates are influenced by pigskin or hoop success for major universities after adjustment for key academic variables. Using a sample of big-time sports universities and models comparable to other research, the evidence presented in this article indicates that having a highly successful football team has a positive impact on both the overall graduation rate and the alumni giving rate. In contrast, a successful basketball team has no significant effect on either of these key measures of academic success.  相似文献

Measuring scientific contributions with modified fractional counting

We develop and propose a new counting method at the aggregate level for contributions to scientific publications called modified fractional counting (MFC). We show that, compared to traditional complete-normalized fractional counting, it eliminates the extreme differences in contributions over time that otherwise occur between scientists that mainly publish alone or in small groups and those that publish with large groups of co-authors. As an extra benefit we find that scientists in different areas of research turn out to have comparable average contributions to scientific articles. We test the method on scientists at Norway’s largest universities and find that, at an aggregate level, it indeed supports comparability across different co-authorship practices as well as between areas of research. MFC is thereby useful whenever the research output from institutions with different research profiles are compared, as e.g., in the Leiden Ranking. Finally, as MFC is actually a family of indicators, depending on a sensitivity parameter, it can be adapted to the circumstances.  相似文献

Model and experimental development for Business Data Science

While Data Science has become increasingly significant for business strategies, operations, performance, efficiency and prediction, there is little work on this to provide a detailed guideline. We have proposed a Business Data Science (BDS) model that focuses on the model and experimental development that allows different types of functions, processes and roles to work together collaboratively for efficiency and performance improvements. Details with examples have been illustrated to show that BDS model can be a robust model.
