The role of discordant acculturation attitudes in perceived threat: An analysis of host and immigrant attitudes in Germany 总被引：3，自引：3，他引：0
The present research examines discordant acculturation attitudes of host society members and immigrants as an antecedent to intergroup threat. Based on integrated threat theory and the concordance model of acculturation, we posited that discordance on culture maintenance and on desire for contact would predict intergroup threat beyond the influence of other antecedents of threat, such as in-group identification, knowledge, and negative contact. A study with 202 German host society members and 151 Turkish and Italian immigrants was conducted. In line with our assumptions, path analyses revealed that culture discordance and contact discordance contribute independently to the prediction of realistic threat, symbolic threat, and intergroup anxiety for host society members and immigrants. Moreover, differences in threat between cultures were mediated by the discordance in acculturation attitudes. 相似文献

I examine the vernacular discourse of the CHICLE listserv, an academic site of inquiry that shifted its focus to operate as a site of opposition following California voters’ passage of Proposition 187, which aimed to restrict state services to undocumented immigrants. I identify the micro-level processes involved in forming a stance of opposition and reveal that a vernacular community's discourse tends to mirror the hegemonic characteristics of the dominant discourses it opposes, a tendency reinforced by homogeneous identity and a need to respond in opposition to dominant discourses. 技术知识的积累与构成对区域创新和产业发展有着重要影响,掌握区域知识结构,有利于进一步挖掘区域知识能力,寻求不同知识基础间的桥梁,激发形成新产业。本文提出在ISI-OST-INPI技术分类基础上结合ALP-DM和DG方法生成适合中国专利数据库的IPC-产业技术对照表,对区域专利数据进行分类处理,利用自然对数雷达图和百分占比雷达图,从量能和势能两个角度可视化展示一个区域知识结构的测度方法。基于此方法采集我国33个省市近五年的发明申请类专利数据,分析结果表明两种雷达图能有效展示区域知识结构,且基于产业技术的知识结构划分能有效地将技术知识构成与区域产业经济政策相关联。 相似文献

Buccal cell usage has been shown by many to be a cost effective and safe method to isolate DNA for various biological experiments
especially large epidemiological studies (Garcia-Closas et al. Cancer Epidemiol Biomarkers Prev 10:687–696, 2001). Non-invasive DNA collection methods are preferred over phlebotomy in order to increase study participation and compliance
in research centers and for sick patients in hospital settings. There have been conflicting reports about the methodology
and results obtained from using buccal DNA. It is not very clear if phlebotomy can be confidently replaced by buccal cell
DNA. It is often left for the user to take an intelligent decision. To address this issue, we compared the performance of
buccal and blood DNA from same subjects in a genotyping experiment and this paper reports the results. Cotton swab derived
buccal cells were scraped from the inner side of cheeks from 16 subjects, and blood was also drawn from the same 16 subjects
participating in a genotypic association study of a lipid disease. The DNA quality was assessed by resolving on agarose gels,
checking purity (A260/A280) and finally by microarray hybridization. This study showed that DNA degradation affects the total
yield and performance of the buccal DNA when compared to the blood DNA in microarray based genotyping. Genotyping results
can be seriously compromised if care is not taken to check the quality and yields of such specimens. 相似文献
