霍姆斯与埃德蒙·金比较教育理论的哲学基础之比较

摘    要:霍姆斯与埃德蒙·金都是当代著名的英国比较教育家,两者的比较教育理论都建立在深厚的哲学基础之上.本文分别分析他们的比较教育理论并试对其理论的哲学基础进行比较.他们都承袭波普尔的哲学思想,被视为新相对主义的代表,同时也接受现象学的观点;科学主义与人本主义思想在他们的理论中得以整合,从而为比较教育的进一步发展提供了另一种理论视角和研究方向.

Abstract:Holmes and King, distinguished contemporary comparative educationists in Britain, formed their comparative education theories on solid philosophical bases. This paper compares the philosophical bases through analyzing their comparative education theories. As the representatives of neo-relativists, they both assimilated Popper' s ideas and the notions of phenomenology. The thoughts of scientism' s and humanism' s were also integrated in their theories. In this way, they provided another theoretical perspective and research orientation for the further development of comparative education.
