大学英语分级教学实证研究

摘    要:文章采用定量的研究方法,考察了539名非英语专业二年级本科生对于大学英语分级教学的态度。调查结果表明:赞同实行分级教学的学生并不多。并对54名高水平学生进行了访谈,以进一步了解被试不赞同实行分级教学的原因,得出学生之间感情深厚、教师授课方法得当是被试不赞同实行分级教学的两个原因。由此,文章提出四点建议:第一,以摸底考试作为分级标准;第二,建议将学生分成A、B两级;第三,加强B班教师的配备;第四,以四级成绩作为标准实行滚动分级。

An Empirical Study of Graded College English Teaching

Abstract:Quantitative research method has been applied to investigating the attitude of 539 non-English major undergraduates, of the second grade, towards graded college English teaching. The research results show that not many of the subjects are supportive of graded college teaching. To better understand the reason, the author interviewed 54 high level students and found out that the familiarity among students plus proper teaching methods explain the reason. Four pieces of advice have been put forward : 1 ) Take baseline examination as the classification standard ;2) Students are suggested to be divided into A and B two levels;3) Allocate excellent teaching staff to B classes;4) CET-4-based rolling grading.
