高中英语新课程改革背景下阅读教学策略探微 总被引：4，自引：0，他引：4

高中英语阅读在英语教学中起着重要的作用,是英语学习过程中极为重要的组成部分。在高中英语阅读教学中,教师存在对阅读教学理论研究不足、缺乏语篇分析意识、缺失背景知识的介绍、缺乏必要的阅读技巧指导的现状;学生存在阅读习惯不良、有效阅读量不够、阅读品质欠佳的现状。通过对图式理论、语篇分析理论和建构主义理论与英语阅读的相关性研究后认为：教师在阅读教学中应注重语篇模式教学,构建课文整体教学观;运用阅读策略指导学生提高分析问题、解决问题的能力;增加课外阅读量,增强语言的输入量,形成良好的英语语感,拓宽英语知识面和间接生活经验;借助于多媒体现代教育技术再现相关英语文化背景知识,丰富学生的内容图式,激发学生的阅读兴趣,增强其理解、分析、推理和鉴赏力,提高其综合语言运用能力。 相似文献

This study explores the use of a corpus of classroom discourse data (Singapore Corpus of Research in Education or SCoRE) to facilitate the professional development of English language (EL) teachers in Singapore. A survey was first conducted to probe the knowledge base and belief system of EL teachers in three key domains: epistemology, pedagogy, and discourse. This was followed by a discourse analysis of the SCoRE corpus to mine resources that could address the specific professional needs of teachers identified through the survey. Survey findings suggest that EL teachers in Singapore are less secure in epistemology than pedagogy or discourse-related issues. The efficacy of using corpus-based materials to help teachers reflect on and develop their professional competencies was tested through a workshop. The paper concludes with a discussion of the implications of using authentic and situated corpus resources to facilitate teachers’ reflective practice and professional development. 相似文献

传统外语教学以孤立的词、句为中心,传授的只是语言知识。语篇教学法则注重语境。强调语言的功能,更有利于培养学习者的交际能力。“语篇法”已为广大外语教师认可并采纳,但实际操作中仍存在一些问题。要解决这些问题,应在利用现代化教学技术,丰富教学手段,优化教学环境;创造多形式课堂活动,激发学生兴趣,培养交际能力;开展多样化课外活动,拓宽学生视野等方面多下功夫。 相似文献

We report on a study of preservice teachers who tutored adults learning English in a free evening class while simultaneously taking a course titled Community Literacy. Exploring their participation, we wondered in what ways pedagogy developed within this context. Drawing on a close discourse analysis of preservice teachers’ written work, we found that each preservice teacher constructed pedagogy differently but in ways that drew on students’ funds of knowledge, interests, ways of learning, and political interests. Moreover, through reflections on practice, preservice teachers sedimented their identities as teachers who see diversity as a resource in teaching. 相似文献

重复是话语结构中的重要组成部分。为了了解英语教师课堂话语重复的现状,本研究采用课堂录音的方式,以课堂实录转写成的文字材料为语料,对教师课堂话语重复的四个维度进行分析。结果表明:英语教师在高中课堂中还是存在话语重复的随意性和简单化等问题;教师应正视不恰当的话语重复,优化教师话语;教师应提升话语重复的科学性和实效性,从而促进课堂教学效果和学生的二语习得。 相似文献

It is now two decades since the Advisory Group on Citizenship, commissioned by the newly elected Labour government, recommended the introduction of statutory citizenship education. On the twentieth anniversary of the eponymously named ‘Crick Report’, this article presents the findings of a rigorous mixed‐methods study of citizenship educators in the UK. This research suggests that teachers continue to lack a shared understanding of citizenship, conceptually and pedagogically, and also reveals an emphasis amongst teachers upon individualistic notions of good citizenship that are reflective of national, and increasingly global, political discourse. The findings are analysed using a new conceptual framework—the declarative–procedural paradigm—which is developed here to understand the relationship between political and normatively driven visions of democratic citizenship and classroom pedagogy. In doing so the article adds, theoretically and substantively, to the specific research pool of citizenship studies and broader debates about political disengagement. 相似文献

African American youth have been disciplined and dismissed from classrooms for engaging in culturally-based communication practices that teachers misinterpret and perceive as disruptive. Teachers have significant power in how they communicate with their students. White teachers should be especially aware of this power because misunderstandings around communication often stem from cultural differences. This study illustrates the promising practice of a white teacher who integrated African American students' culturally-based literacy practice of “verbal ping pong” into English subject matter instruction. Ethnographic methods that foreground the perspectives of student participants illuminated the significance of this highly interactive discourse, while discourse analysis showed how it functioned as culturally congruent communication to promote students' access to classroom discourse and engagement in subject matter learning. By showing how culturally congruent communication can provide equitable access to learning opportunities for all students, this study renders a promising representation of socially just pedagogy. 相似文献

The London Association for the Teaching of English is a subject group that was founded in 1947 to ‘provide a live forum for the exchange of ideas, and to undertake the practical study of problems connected with the teaching of English’. The early history of this Association, its influence on the development of English pedagogy and practice is the subject of my current PhD research. Within this work are key questions about the nature of subject English, the curriculum, and the ways in which members of a subject community work together to effect change. This article gives some background to the research project, and begins to point towards some potentially important questions about the subject and ways of working together. After two decades of top down, centralised government initiatives around English pedagogy, curriculum and assessment, and teachers’ professional development, these questions are worth addressing. 相似文献

This paper reports a two-year in-depth qualitative enquiry into English language teaching in a typical primary school in an economically disadvantaged ward of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The research found that modest but significant changes to teachers’ pedagogy, practice and understanding of the teaching of English could be achieved. One of the most important changes was the teachers’ increased understanding of the benefits of engaging learners in a greater range of interaction styles. Another important change was greater understanding of the importance of communicative intent and semantics in the teaching of English. The whole school approach to teacher development, including the research team's sustained engagement with the head teacher of the school, was an important context for the changes to practice. 相似文献
