The identification and development of players in English professional football has become an increasingly significant topic of debate given the historical perceived underperformance of the English national team at international tournaments. To enhance understanding of the challenges and barriers experienced by English youth footballers, the authors explore the developmental experiences of English professional football players from different levels of the English football pyramid. Professional players (N = 11) from football clubs in the top four professional divisions in England took part in individual semi-structured interviews, which were analysed inductively using thematic analysis. The data revealed three interrelated themes that were perceived to mediate player identification and development pathways at professional clubs. Pathways for young players to progress and experience first-team competitive football differed when the level of the league that the players operated within was considered, with significant issues also raised relating to the suitability of the under 21 league structure, the importance attached to the educational welfare of young players, and variations in the identification of player attributes. This study sheds new light on the priorities and processes of talent development and education provision in English football.  相似文献

Using data of 1992–2012, this paper considers the spillover effects resulting from the increased flow of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into the English Premier League focusing, in particular, on competitive balance, measures of football productivity and intrafootball spillovers. Results indicate that not only has the competitive balance in football been reduced but that overseas investment has impacted both upon the productivity of the clubs under foreign ownership and those which continue under domestic ownership. The empirical contribution of this paper indicates the relevance and importance of both spillover and FDI theory to that of the football industry.  相似文献

通过查阅相关文献资料,阐述当前我国足球后备人才培养现状及存在的问题。当前我国足球后备人才培养主要以职业足球俱乐部梯队建设和足球学校、业余俱乐部为主,中、小学在培养足球后备人才上发挥作用不明显。主要是因为各职业俱乐部把联赛放在第一位,无暇顾及自己的后备梯队的培养,以及受我国教育制度等因素影响,学校足球运动开展不力。  相似文献

Competitive balance is thought to be an important aspect of sport. Notions of ‘equity’ or ‘fair play’ appeal to the concept of competitive balance. Focusing upon the period between 1948 and 2008, this paper uses data from the top division of English football to investigate what has happened to competitive balance through the use of three measures. The first measure is an index, similar to a concentration ratio, that seeks to capture the extent to which the four most successful teams, by decade, have dominated the league. The second measure uses the Herfindahl index to discover the number of competitive teams in the league over the six decades. The final measure looks, season by season, at the probability of repeat success. The results suggest, from all three measures, that competitive balance has decreased and that the ‘beautiful game’ in England is in danger of becoming a monopoly of the few.  相似文献

Arab football clubs have been playing in the Israeli football league since the establishment of the State of Israel (1948) and have continued to do so to date, with a few clubs in the premier league. While Arab football clubs expanded to almost every Arab village and town, football became highly popular among the Israeli Arabs. However, because of the Arabs’ minority status in Israel and the ongoing conflict between the State of Israel and the Palestinians (also with certain Arab states) football assumed a definite instrumentality for the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel. This paper deals precisely with this issue: what did/does football do for the Arabs in Israel? Who gained/gains from the existence and the participation of Arab clubs in the Israeli football league? Certain gains can definitively be discerned and divided into three levels: the individual player that benefited from socio-economic mobility, the local club that became a hub of ethnic-national identification for many residents, and the entire Arab community in Israel whose internal debate about self-identification was encouraged by football and was instrumental both for integration and protest regarding the State of Israel, which has been dominated by the Jewish majority.  相似文献

以2008至2012赛季中国足球超级职业联赛作为研究对象,从市场经济学的角度出发采用职业体育竞争平衡相关指数的研究方法,对各个赛季的赢球率标准差、赢球率标准差比率、集中度以及赫芬达尔指数进行竞争平衡状态的分散度以及集中度分析。研究结果表明五个赛季中2008赛季中超联赛的竞争平衡状态最差,其次为2011赛季、2010赛季、2012赛季以及2009赛季。中国足球超级联赛竞争平衡特征呈现反复波动性,缺乏稳定性与提高趋向性。我国职业足球联赛的竞争平衡没有随着职业体育的发展有明显的进步。  相似文献

The colour of sportswear has been shown to influence the outcome of bouts for several different combat sports. The generality of these effects, and whether they extend to collaborative forms of contests (team sports), is uncertain. Since 1947, English football teams wearing red shirts have been champions more often than expected on the basis of the proportion of clubs playing in red. To investigate whether this indicates an enhancement of long-term performance in red-wearing teams, we analysed the relative league positions of teams wearing different hues. Across all league divisions, red teams had the best home record, with significant differences in both percentage of maximum points achieved and mean position in the home league table. The effects were not due simply to a difference between teams playing in a colour and those playing in a predominantly white uniform, as the latter performed better than teams in yellow hues. No significant differences were found for performance in matches away from home, when teams commonly do not wear their "home" colours. A matched-pairs analysis of red and non-red wearing teams in eight English cities shows significantly better performance of red teams over a 55-year period. These effects on long-term success have consequences for colour selection in team sports, confirm that wearing red enhances performance in a variety of competitive contexts, and provide further impetus for studies of the mechanisms underlying these effects.  相似文献

在足球劳动合同到期后球员即可自由转会的现行转会制度下,球员转会协议在体育和经济层面仍存在充分的现实必要。由于规则层面的缺陷、实践层面的误解以及学理层面的不足,球员转会协议的法律性质仍然存在不明,甚至直接造成法律争议的发生。对涉事的两家俱乐部而言,球员转会协议并非所谓球员的“联盟权”或经济权的交易,而是为实现希望加盟新俱乐部的球员注册变更的重要先决条件,即主要通过支付转会费的方式换取原俱乐部解除未到期的足球劳动合同之同意;对球员与俱乐部而言,经球员确认的转会协议构成他们之间的劳动合同的附条件解除。现行转会制度层面下的足球劳动关系的人身隶属性与足球劳动合同的稳定性乃是球员转会协议存在的诱因,全面系统地分析俱乐部竞争性的平衡与球员劳动权益的保护有助于解决球员转会协议实践中发生的争议。  相似文献

建立中国职业足球联盟的必要性在于:(1)可以弥补足球项目管理的宏观和微观性失灵,增强俱乐部的博弈力量;(2)使所有者监督成为可能;(3)联盟可改变委托-代理性质,从而产生高效的管理绩效;(4)职业足球俱乐部的成长需要更为高效、专业的组织提供所需的公共服务,以解决公共性失灵问题;(5)有效解决俱乐部高成本问题。提出未来中国职业联盟的构想:(1)明确联盟与足协的权力边界;(2)联盟要保护职业俱乐部之间的竞争与合作;(3)足协成员进入联盟决策层,是防止俱乐部业主合谋的约束机制。  相似文献

针对我国竞技体育职业化产权问题突出的现状,应用现代产权制度的相关理论,结合对联赛管理机构、俱乐部的实证调查,研究我国竞技体育职业化进程的无形财产权。通过多年的改革,我国竞技体育职业化中包含的体育知识产权大部分已转化为体育无形资产,其无形财产权归属成为职业化进程中的焦点与问题根源。联赛管理机构应当进一步放权让利,合理调整联赛无形财产权的分配,使俱乐部收益,这有利于我国当前竞技体育职业化进程的可持续发展。  相似文献

擅要:国际足坛每年发生大量的球员合同纠纷。近年来,随着中国足球整体环境的改善,多家俱乐部加大投入,引进高水平外援,大大提升了中国足球职业联赛的水平。但与此同时,中国足球职业联赛中球员与俱乐部之间的合同纠纷也不断升级。球员合同属于劳动合同,中国的劳动合同争议有专门的管辖机关,即劳动争议仲裁委员会,并可上诉至法院,适用的法律为中国的《劳动合同法》。而在足球领域,球员工作合同纠纷是由国家足协、国际足联乃至国际体育仲裁院进行管辖,适用的规则为国家足协或国际足联相关规则。因此,当球员合同纠纷发生在中国职业联赛中时,如何结合我国当前的立法及国际足联关于足球行业的内部规定,选择恰当的纠纷管辖机构,是实践和理论中一个具有挑战性且意义深远的课题。文章结合笔者在处理这些足球运动员合同纠纷过程中积累的实务经验,分析中国足球职业联赛中不同类型的球员合同纠纷的解决方式及管辖权,以保护中国职业联赛中球员及俱乐部的利益,促进中国足球与国际足球在法律制度层面上的融合与接轨。  相似文献

采用文献资料调研、数理统计、逻辑分析等研究方法时NBA俱乐部和运动员工资收支状况进行研究。俱乐部支付薪金总额和运动员平均工资水平表明,NBA俱乐部经济状况总体较好,保证了职业运动员的高收入。奢侈税虽然一定程度上制约了俱乐部支付薪金总额的快速增长,但目前仍有相当数量的俱乐部支付超过工资上限的薪金,运动员之间工资差距较大;俱乐部的薪金支付总额与赛季成绩并不完全成正比;运动员工资的平均水平与运动员年龄和NBA球龄间存在一定的规律性关系;首发运动员的平均工资明显高于替补运动员,不同位置运动员工资的平均值有一定的差异。  相似文献

基于职业体育的生产特性,依托现代经济学分析方法,有针对性地分析职业体育为何要达成竞争实力均衡、达成均衡的基本假设以及如何度量均衡三个问题.研究结论显示:一个竞争实力均衡的联赛,能实现激励在位俱乐部努力、满足消费者福利、降低竞争者进入威胁,从而最终实现联赛的财政稳定和健康发展;联赛水平越高,对竞争实力均衡的要求越高;俱乐部市场规模、优秀运动员的供给弹性、俱乐部的目标函数以及球迷偏好的差异引致均衡状态的改变;根据衡量比赛结果不确定性纬度的不同,度量竞争实力均衡的方法有多种,其中,HHI不仅适合不同记分方式的联赛,满足动、静态研究的需要,而且数据的采集和处理相对比较简单,不失为一种有效的衡量方法.  相似文献
