针对高校图书馆评估工作中存在的一些问题,如在整个教学评估体系中所占权重系数小、评估主体中缺乏图书馆界的专家或学者、某些具体指标不尽合理等,分析其负面影响及形成原因,并提出建立“四位一体”的图书馆评估主体模式、构建独立的评估组织和新的评估指标体系,将图书馆文化和人才队伍建设作为评估指标体系中的一级指标,旨在促进图书馆的建设和发展。  相似文献

要了解我国图书馆公共文化服务的发展状况,离不开对图书馆公共文化服务充分性的度量。有关图书馆评估的理论及实践虽日趋完善,但仍存在不能体现充分性发展本质、评估系统性欠缺、整体性不足、动态性有待增强等问题,而将耦合协调模型运用于图书馆公共文化服务充分性发展评价有助于克服以上弊端。文章对耦合协调模型在图书馆公共文化服务充分性评估中的适用性进行深入论证,基于该模型与图书馆公共文化服务充分性发展的内涵,将图书馆公共文化服务充分性发展状况的测度转换为区域经济发展子系统、图书馆公共文化服务供给子系统、图书馆公共文化服务需求子系统三者的耦合协调度测算,以期为图书馆评估提供一种新思路。图1。参考文献50。  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Through a review of the literature, the author sought to identify what assessment planning practices exist in libraries, how the assessment planning process works in libraries, and what components constitute a library assessment plan. The findings suggest that, while libraries determine and report a great many aspects of organizational performance, general assessment planning (which encompasses total organizational impact and value) is not frequently used or integrated into the library's comprehensive strategic planning process, and it does not always effectively cover the scope of the assessment activities and information needed by organizational leaders and administrators to develop effective strategic plans and decisions. This lack of integration creates disconnects between the library's ability to determine and report organizational value and the library's need to provide accountability evidence to stakeholders and use the performance measurement results effectively in executing strategic planning and decision making. Using the findings of the review, the author proposes an alternative set of assessment planning components and focus areas.  相似文献

Academic libraries are facing increased demands for improved accountability while the academic library service environment is in a constant flux of transition. Aligned assessment processes focus on integrating and aligning the assessment process components of assessment, capacity, stakeholders, participation, technology and organizational leadership to improve their effectiveness and their results. 源于马里兰大学的组织气候与多样性评估(OCDA)已经成为美国ARL最新推荐的评价工具,但国内对此还缺乏系统的研究.本文在对组织气候进行溯源与分析的基础上,对图书馆组织气候的内涵进行界定,分析了图书馆文化与图书馆组织气候之间的差异与关联.图书馆的组织气候会对图书馆员工的行为模式和工作绩效产生显著的影响,因此,图书馆组织气候评估可以作为图书馆用户服务质量改进的重要依据.图书馆组织气候评测的可能维度包括:员工在图书馆的归属感、员工的工作满意度、员工的离职倾向、员工的工作动机、员工对自身的价值期待等.ClimateQUALTM评价指标体系可作为我国图书馆进行组织气候评测的重要参考.  相似文献

[目的/意义] 了解图书馆界对图书馆组织氛围的认知情况,发掘图书馆组织氛围影响因素,为构建我国本土化的图书馆组织氛围测评体系提供一定依据与参考。[方法/过程] 基于馆员认知进行问卷调研,并结合文献调研对组织氛围影响因素予以分析,形成图书馆组织氛围影响因素体系。[结果/结论] 影响图书馆组织氛围的因素包括组织内部环境、社会外环境、图书馆行业性质以及馆员自身的价值观念与行为方式等,其中我国传统文化中强调人际关系的和谐、集体主义、等级观念等特征因素对馆员的认知与行为有一定正面或负面的影响。此外,图书馆组织氛围建设的重要性还未得到普遍重视,对组织氛围的认知有待加强。  相似文献

Assessment has become more of a priority for libraries across the country in the last decade. Using the instruction program as a case study, the authors detail the history of assessment development during the past ten years at Mercer University. Along with the university's culture of assessment, institutional-, library-, and program-level assessment are discussed, including how information is communicated across these levels. The authors also share an evolving multifaceted assessment plan for a traditional library instruction program, including methods such as attitude surveys, peer observation, and authentic assessment. ��[Purpose/significance] This paper defines the hierarchical types and baselines of organizational climate of university libraries in China, provides a value judgment and reference basis for self-assessment of university library organizational climate.[Method/process] A nationwide survey of the library organizational climate was conducted, and 11 libraries were selected to take assessment. According to the current situation, the characteristics and development level of the participating libraries, the clustering analysis method was used to classify and define the baseline.[Result/conclusion] The organizational climate of university libraries in China can be divided into three types:neutral, stimulating and efficient.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Academic research libraries can employ several approaches to advance the institutional mission. First, libraries can shift from goals focused on collections and traditional library services and instead align with their campus academic plan and an emphasis on supporting the institution's strategic initiatives. A second approach is for libraries to modify their organizational structures from being function-based on the tasks that traditional libraries performed (e.g., public services, technical services, collection development) and move instead toward organizational units that directly support their university's missions (e.g., undergraduate education; graduate and professional education; research, scholarship, and creative activity; and public engagement). The key is to have library staff engaged in work that contributes to vital institutional outcomes such as student success and faculty research productivity. Academic research libraries should also continue to work towards an assessment program that demonstrates the value of the academic research library in providing quality services that advance the institutional mission.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Organizational performance assessment is a practice-based framework that builds on the synergy between planning and assessment, and results in the discernment of impact and value. It promotes a set of practices that enables the library to effectively integrate planning, strategy, performance, assessment, and organizational development in order to advance the parent institution's mission. This article discusses some foundations of organizational performance assessment, useful practices, and examples from libraries that are “living the future.”
