迄今成熟的学科体系都是公理体系。因此,构筑公理化图书馆学体系值得尝试。以这样的视角重新诠释图书馆学五定律表明其就是个公理体系。以此为启示构筑公理化图书馆学体系:以"文献信息是为了用的"为公理,得到推论一"人人享有利用文献信息的平等权利"和推论二"在文献信息的采集、组织、保存、传播与利用活动中追求低成本与高效率"。整个图书馆学体系可以此为逻辑框架。图书馆学不仅应当成为图书馆人的职业指南,而且应当成为他们的精神家园。 相似文献

These services not only enhance access to information, but also are designed to support fundamental information policy principles. It is a new way of looking at how the education and training of information professionals may be handled with the interests of developing countries in mind. It was suggested that educators especially in developing countries should devise a new course entitled "Development Information Science". The purpose of the article is to continue the discourse of the discipline and suggest an approach for laying its theoretical foundation. Among the topics covered are: the generalized universe of theories; perceptions of information science theory in the west; domains of development information science; and its canons and paradigms. As a result of suggestions from the American Library Association (ALA) the Division of Library and Information Science (DLIS) program at St. John's University implemented an end-of-program electronic portfolio (ePortfolio) requirement. The purpose of this ePortfolio is to provide information on student proficiency in the eight ALA core competencies to our external accrediting agency—the ALA Committee on Accreditation (CoA).
