网络教学是建立在计算机辅助教学(CAI)和以广播电视为媒体的远程教育基础之上,利用计算机技术和现代通信技术发展起来的一种现代教学模式.与传统课堂教学相比,不论从学习的适用对象、教育内容的表现形式、课程的组织安排和学习者的学习方式来看,网络教学都具有其不可比拟的优越性.将网络教学引进学校是提高其课程教学水平的有效手段.其中,网络课程的设计是关键.本文基于建构主义理论,就学校网络课程的设计提出了自己的认识.  相似文献

Recently, there have been more debates on the methods of measuring efficiency. The main objective of this paper is to make a sensitivity analysis for different frontier models and compare the results obtained from the different methods of estimating multi-output frontier for a specific application. The methods include stochastic distance function frontier, stochastic ray frontier, and data envelopment analysis. The stochastic frontier regressions with and without the inefficiency effects model are also compared and tested. The results indicate that there are significant correlations between the results obtained from the alternative estimation methods.  相似文献

Listening is a major challenge for many English as a foreign language (EFL)/English as a second language (ESL) learners. Many learners find it difficult to immediately process and segment an ongoing stream of sounds. Decoding training is one of interventions that have been used to assist EFL/ESL learners. This paper reviewed empirical studies of the effectiveness of decoding training in developing EFL/ESL learners' listening. We examined the following four major factors: (a) the types of instructional activities used; (b) the effects of decoding training on student listening outcomes; (c) the main instructional enablers of decoding training; and (d) the main instructional barriers to decoding training. The two activities most frequently used for decoding training were dictation and pronunciation instruction. A meta-analysis of 13 intervention studies showed an overall significant effect in favor of decoding training over non-decoding instruction for listening education (Hedges's g = 0.553, CI = 0.348–0.759, 95% confidence interval, p = 0.000), with no evidence of publication bias. Two theoretical frameworks, cognitive learning theory and the attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction model, were used to synthesize 33 studies to analyze the common elements that promote and hinder the development of learners' decoding skills. We proposed a set of design principles for decoding training that are expected to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of decoding training in EFL/ESL listening education.  相似文献

Evaluation is essential in assessing different areas of performance especially in educational institutions. Conversely, upward evaluation is emerging in the Philippine educational institutions. However, issues concerning upward evaluations hinder its regular implementation. This study ascertained the impact between and among instructional supervisory behavior, teachers’ trust to instructional supervisors, teachers’ emotional exhaustion, need to evaluate and teachers’ want to have an upward evaluation. This also found teachers’ viewpoint of a bottom-up design of evaluation. With 278 teacher respondents, the multi-aspect survey questionnaires were utilized. This study employed structural equation modelling. Path analysis was also conducted to examine simultaneous relationships and direct effect among latent variables at 0.05 level of significance. This study provides implications to implementation of evaluations in educational institutions.  相似文献

Faculty use of technology is a critical issue in higher education; administrators and students are expecting faculty instruction to incorporate technology in classroom and distance education. Competition is demanding technologically proficient graduates for schools and colleges. Research indicates that computer self-efficacy (CSE) may be one determinant of who uses technology and who does not. A survey of education faculty at the Lebanese University in Beirut, Lebanon, conducted in 2006, revealed varying degrees of CSE; of 127 respondents, 14 had low levels of CSE; 68 were at a moderate level, and 45 self-evaluated themselves to have high CSE. Although other barriers may deter the implementation of technology in teaching, strategies and techniques for increasing CSE should be developed. For those with low CSE, special attention must be given to enhancing their levels of CSE.

While schools and systems across the globe promote data-driven decision making, teachers often struggle to use data, especially from external assessments, to inform daily instruction. In this paper, we examine teacher capacity building for a less typical form of data use - evidence on student thinking. We draw on data from a longitudinal, in-depth qualitative study involving middle school math teachers who were engaged in an instructional improvement project. Findings show that data use occurred when evidence from student thinking was introduced as part of the instructional planning process. This shift was facilitated by an instructional coach whose capacity building efforts with teachers focused on coherence, specifically planning high quality instruction and using data effectively, while also meeting district pacing and unit planning goals. When teachers put new strategies into practice, feedback from formative assessment data allowed teachers to identify and address misconceptions in student thinking. Learning how to use data as part of instruction helped teachers build capacity to reflect on their own practice. Implications for theory, practice, and research are discussed.  相似文献
