This study aimed to investigate the factors accounting for science teaching self-efficacy and to examine the relationships among Taiwanese teachers’ science teaching self-efficacy, teaching and learning conceptions, technological–pedagogical content knowledge for the Internet (TPACK-I), and attitudes toward Internet-based instruction (Attitudes) using a mediational model approach. A total of 233 science teachers from 41 elementary schools in Taiwan were invited to take part in the study. After ensuring the validity and reliability of each questionnaire, the results indicated that each measure had satisfactory validity and reliability. Furthermore, through mediational models, the results revealed that TPACK-I and Attitudes mediated the relationship between teaching and learning conceptions and science teaching self-efficacy, suggesting that (1) knowledge of and attitudes toward Internet-based instruction (KATII) mediated the positive relationship between constructivist conceptions of teaching and learning and outcome expectancy, and that (2) KATII mediated the negative correlations between traditional conceptions of teaching and learning and teaching efficacy. 相似文献

对木兰科Magnoliaceae 13个分类群的染色体进行了计数, 其中落叶木莲Manglietia decidua、香港木兰Magnolia championii、馨香玉兰Magnolia odoratissima、香木兰Magnolia guangnanensis等12个种的染色体数目为首次报道。同时对木兰科属内属间的12个人工杂交组合的后代进行了染色体鉴定,其中,二乔玉兰红元宝Magnolia×soulangeana“Hongyuanbao” (♀,2n=4x=76)与云南含笑Michelia yunnanensis (♂,2n=2x=38)、红元宝与金叶含笑Michelia foveolata(♂,2n=2x=38)杂交后代的染色体为2n=3x=57,为其亲本染色体半数之和,证明这两个远缘杂交后代为真实杂种。 相似文献

From standpoint of floristic division, Sichuan is located in the middle part
of Eastern Asiatic Region (Takhtajan 1978) or is the area where Sino-Himalayan Forest
Subkingdom and Sino-Japan Forest Subkingdom meet (wu 1979). Here exist many so-
called Arcto-Tertiary elements and newly originated species or races. In order to bring
the light the origin and differentiation of Eastern Asiatic elements, cytological investi-
gation on plants of this region are very significant. The materials of the following 5
species were collected on Mt. Emei in Sichuan Province. Voucher specimens are kept in CDBI.
1. Toricellia angulata Oliver var. intermedia (Harms) Hu
PMC meiotic examination revealed n = 12 at diakinesis (Pl. I fig. 9)
Toricellia, consisting of 2 spp., is endemic to Eastern Asiatic Region. Based on
our result along with the report of Toricellia tiliifolia (Wall.) DC. (2n=24) by Kuro-
sawa (1977), we argue that the basic chromosome number of Toricellia is 12. Many
authors, such as Airy-Shaw (1973), Dahlgren (1975, 1977), Takhtajan (1969, 1980),
Thorne (1983), have adopted Hu’s (1934) treatment erecting it as a monotypic family
Toricelliaceae. Its systematic position, whether closer to Cornaceae than to Araliaceae
or vice versa, has been in dispute. Cytologically it seems closer to Araliaceae, as shown
anatomically (Lodriguez 1971), because the basic chromosome number of Cornaceae s.
1. is x=11, 9, 8 (Kurosawa 1977), whereas that of Araliaceae is 12 (Raven 1975).
2. Cardiocrinum giganteum (Wall.) Makino
Somatic chromosome number, 2n=24 was determined from root-tip cells (Ph. I. fig.
8).
Cardiocrinum (Endl.) Lindl., consisting of 3 spp., is endemic to Eastern Asiatic
Region. C. giganteum (Wall.) Makino is distributed from Himalayan region to S. W.
China. The present report is in accord with the number reported by Kurosawa (1966)
who got the material from Darjeeling of India. However the karyotype of the present
plant is slightly different from that given by Kurosawa. In the present material, the
satellites of the 1st. pair of chromosomes and the short arms of llst. pair of chromoso-
mes are visibly longer than those of Kurosawa’s drawing (fig. 1, 2) The plants from
Yunnan, Sichuan and Hubei Provinces, named as C. giganteum var. yunnanense (Leit-
chtlin ex Elwes) Stearn, differ slightly from those of Himalayan region also in outer
morphological characters. The taxon needs both cytological and taxonomical further
studies.
3. Disporum cantoniense (Lour.) Merr.
PMC meiotic examination revealed n=8 at diakinesis (Pl. I. fig. 6)
This species is widely distributed from Himalayan region through Indo-China to
our Taiwan Province and Indonesia. Three cytotypes (2n=14, 16, 30) were reported for
the taxon including its variety, var. parviflorum (Wall) Hara, by various authors (Ha-
segawa 1932, Mehra and Pathamia 1960, Kurosawa 1966, 1971 Mehra and Sachdeva
1976a). Some authors consider D. pullum Salisb. and D. calcaratum D. Don as synonyms
of D. cantoniense. So D. cantoniense may be a species aggregate with different extreme
races. Sen (1973a, b.) reports that the somatic chromosome numbers of D. pullum
and D. calcaratum from Eastern Himalayan region are 14, 16, 28, 30, 32. He also
discovered that chromosome alterations in species of Disporum involve not only the num-
ber but the structure as well. He found that in species of Liliaceae where the reproduc-
tion is mainly vegetative, polysomaty often occurs. In China we have not only D. can-
toniense and D. calcaratum but also D. brachystomon Wang et Tang which is similar
to D. cantoniense var. parviflorum (Wall.) Hara. These taxa need further critical
studies.
4. Paris fargesii Franch.
PMC meiotic examination revealed n=5+2B (Voucher no. 112) or n=5 (Voucher
no. 62) at MI and AI (Pl. I. fig. 1. 4. 5.). This is the first report for the species. A
bridge and a fragment were also observed at AI.
Paris polyphylla Smith is extraordinarily polymorphic species. Hara (1969) re-
gards all chinese extreme forms, such as P. fargesii Franch., P. violacea Lévl., P. pube-
scens (Hand. -Mzt.) Wang et Tang, etc. as infraspecific taxa of P. polyphylla. Need-
less to say, the various races of P. polyphylla Smith in China need further critical stu-
dies and are good material for further study to understand the speciation.
5. Reineckia carnea(Andr.) Kunth
Reineckia is a monotypic genus endemic to Eastern Asiatic Region. In the present
material somatic chromosome number in root-tip cells is determined as 2n=38 (Pl. I. fig.
7). According to the terminology defined by Levan et al., the karyotype formula is
2n=28 m+10 sm. The length of chromosomes varies from 14.28 μ to 5.5 μ. The idiogram
given here (fig. 3) is nearly the same as that presented by Hsu et Li (1984). The same
number has been previously reported by several authors, Noguchi (1936), Satô (1942),
Therman (1956). The karyotype is relatively symmetrical (2B, accorling to the classi-fication of stebbins 1971) in accord with the opinion of Therman (1956). 相似文献

Measuring the perceived quality of professors’ teaching effectiveness is a critical issue in higher education. This study involves a large-scale data exploration with a sample of 16,802 professors, in which each professor had received at least 20 ratings from the RateMyProfessors website. We find that perceived difficulty (from the students’ perspective) has a significantly negative effect on perceived quality. However, when professors teach more difficult courses at top colleges, the decline in perceived quality is relatively small when compared to other colleges. In other words, whether professors come from top colleges has a moderating effect on the relationship between perceived quality and perceived difficulty. Furthermore, through a consideration of the characteristic differences among disciplines in terms of the relationship between perceived quality and perceived difficulty, we obtain three specific groups of disciplines. These findings facilitate a better understanding of quality for professors from different disciplines. We suggest that the measurement of teaching effectiveness should avoid the use of a single criterion because differences in courses, disciplines or schools can influence the measurement results, and these factors are beyond the control of professors. 相似文献

In Taiwan, substantial resources have been invested in upper-secondary vocational education for Aborigines as a solution to their lack of career development opportunities. This study examined the schooling experiences and career aspirations of Taiwanese indigenous vocational high school students. A case study was designed to collect data through in-depth, semi-structured interviews with 24 aboriginal students in twelfth grade at a Major Indigenous Vocational High School (MIVHS). The findings indicated that aboriginal students experienced mainstream-centric schooling that focused on preparing students for college education with additional support. The schooling contributed to their solid educational aspirations to attend non-prestigious technological colleges and vague occupational aspirations with low occupational self-efficacy. It also enforced their strong cultural aspirations of living in their homelands and benefiting their people. The findings suggest that the MIVHS could provide the culturally responsive schooling for aboriginal students' diversity to facilitate their career development. 相似文献

ABSTRACT This study aimed to investigate older adults’ daily activities (e.g., learning activities and companionship) and the relations of these activities with the satisfaction of the basic psychological needs using the Experience Sampling Method (ESM). We propose a multilevel model to delineate the effects of daily experiences on the satisfaction of autonomy, competence, and relatedness needs. The current research was conducted by sending reminder messages and collecting daily responses via the Line@ application on mobile phones. A total of 838 valid records were collected (the average number of records per person was 24.65). In total, 838 daily experiences nested 34 older adults’ completed diary records for the study. The average age was 63.44 years (SD age = 5.90, range from 52 to 75), and 82.4% were female (i.e., 28 women and 6 men). Each participant needed to complete their record each day throughout the 10-day period. The results of hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) revealed that learning for the elderly, as compared with doing all other activities, is positively related with the satisfaction of the autonomy need but negatively associated with the satisfaction of the competence need. Furthermore, eating as compared with learning for older adults is more likely to satisfy the competence and relatedness needs; however, learning as compared with watching TV may foster satisfaction of the autonomy, competence, and relatedness needs. In addition, as long as they are accompanied, regardless of who their companions are, compared with being alone, the older adults perceived greater satisfaction of the three basic psychological needs. 相似文献
