针对期刊编辑部向投稿作者提供的传统WORD版论文模板提示信息量不全、需大幅度来回翻屏才能找到所需从而易引起作者厌倦或根本不参照模板的问题,文章提出一种指导作者规范化写作的新方法,即通过WORD文字排版软件中的"标签""超级链接"及宏命令等高级功能建立论文写作模板,将组成科技论文的完整元素以及图表、量和单位等的规范表述呈现给作者。  相似文献

为了全面提高科技期刊质量,主编应该在重视刊文学术质量的同时,注意从作者、审稿专家和编辑3方面入手来提高刊文的写作质量,即:通过在刊物和网站上开办"论文写作"专栏,对比较集中的作者群举办论文写作知识讲座等方法帮助作者全面了解科技论文的写作要求;通过在审稿单中全面提问的方式请审稿专家在审查稿件学术质量的同时一并指出稿件中的写作问题;通过集中培训和在加工稿件的过程中培训并督促运用等措施敦促编辑切实掌握科技论文的写作要求与加工技巧.  相似文献

针对作者初稿中表述不规范的情况,提出了一种论文写作即时指导的窗口查询方法,即作者通过下载含有该指导窗口的Word文档,就能对照窗口中提示组织和编排论文内容,初稿就可排出比较符合期刊要求的版面。论文写作指导窗口是通过Word的VB编辑器建立的,通过建立在常用工具栏上的宏命令可随时打开该窗口,并且在打开该窗口的同时作者能进行自己文档的编辑。鉴于窗口中的每个选项卡只对应论文的一个元素,所有显示内容简洁、一目了然且无需滚动条。  相似文献

为了认识中国生物医学科学家写英语研究论文所碰到的主要问题,找到解决这些问题的途径,由英语为母语的科学家加工190篇论文,并分析写作中的错误。作者均讲国语(汉语普通话)和英语。加工过的稿件退给作者,并同他们用英语讨论。许多论文写得不够清楚。写作问题有两类:文章组织结构和英语语法。突出的是论文摘要结构不当,结果部分写作混乱。几乎每篇文章有语法错误,包括定冠词与不定冠词误用、动词时态错误、名词单复数不分。同作者讨论修改内容,许多作者知道动词时态、冠词误用,但不明白与数一致相关的模糊和准确问题。中国科学家写英语论文存在结构问题,英语语言学方面特殊障碍。解决办法是编辑同作者一起讨论加工过的稿子。  相似文献

对《科技论文规范化即时指导方法》一文进行改进。通过建立一个名为"写作模板"的文档,供作者下载使用。该文档沿用了原有为作者提供写作指导的所有内容,增加了设置好字体、字号、段落格式和版式的引导性提示,写作完成后通过一个命令就可删除所有与作者输入内容无关的用户窗体、宏命令等,在作者计算机中不留任何额外内容。  相似文献

科技期刊以学术友好的方式提供学术出版,是其服务于学术界的根本要求。探求学者们的需要并及时作出反应是科技期刊贯彻学术友好理念最基本的步骤。为了实现学术友好,就应当在出版活动的各个环节贯穿友好的意识:从详细的写作指导、方便使用的投稿系统、严谨的同行评议、照顾阅读流畅的版式、以读者容易正确理解为目的的简洁文风等都应显示友好。作为科技期刊与学者们交流的窗口,作者指南是科技期刊根据学者们的需求所作的反应的一种表达,因此,从作者指南入手提高科技期刊的学术友好度是实现友好理念的有力措施。本文阐明作者指南的获取、形式和内容,解读作者指南需要涵盖的各个方面,以提高科技期刊的学术友好度。  相似文献

This article discusses the factors that either encourage or discourage academics from publishing in peer‐reviewed sources. The authors draw on the findings of a study conducted at a large regional university in Australia. The findings, which are based on both quantitative and qualitative data, reveal that confidence in writing for peer‐reviewed publications was the chief factor in accounting for publication output. Other factors related to publishing output included gender, a strong work ethic, completion of a doctoral degree and seniority. The authors conclude that university managers could facilitate the production of publishing output by a number of means, e.g. targeting the building of writing confidence, supporting female academics, and offering incentives to pursue and complete doctoral studies.  相似文献

Last year 1279 professional authors completed a lengthy questionnaire on their use of, and attitudes towards, technological tools for writing and publishing. The data were analysed quantitatively, by examining the most frequent responses to items on the questionnaire, and qualitatively, by looking closely at details illuminating the relationship between authors and publishers. The results, for present purposes, are divided into three broad bands of interest: first, what types of writing software authors are currently using; second, what the implications of using authors’ disks in the publication chain are; and third, how technology alters perceptions of the ‘copy’ as a unit of sale. Findings suggest that though authors are operating at basic levels, they have embraced technology with more enthusiasm than their publishers. The challenge facing those involved in books is to make provision for presenting and displaying work in electronic form: to improve contracts and licensing agreements, and to disseminate information on technology to authors.  相似文献

Bilingual publishing has become a strategy employed by journals from the non‐Anglophone world to gain wider recognition. Beyond anecdotal evidence, however, there are no published accounts of the experiences of editors and authors of bilingual journals with the process of bilingual publication. It is also unclear how authors writing in bilingual journals judge the quality of the translations and whether they consider this sort of publishing as beneficial for their aims. Consequently, we carried out two surveys: one among editors of bilingual journals and one anonymous survey among authors and translators of articles published in Deutsches Ärzteblatt International, the bilingual journal of the German Medical Association. Eight of nine journals as well as 233 of 353 authors and 4 of 6 translators took part. Most journals reported that bilingual publication helped in becoming indexed in important databases (e.g. Medline), receiving or improving an Impact Factor, and in attracting authors. All journals plan to continue publishing bilingually. Authors were ‘satisfied’ (40.8%) or ‘very satisfied’ (57.8%) with translations. Almost all (96.7%) were in favour of bilingual publication of their work. They did not view an English translation as an obstacle to another related English language paper. Translators highlighted challenges relating to specialized terminology and to terms specific to the regional healthcare system.  相似文献

The Gutenberg‐e project was created as an experiment to explore whether peer‐reviewed, born‐digital monographs would alter the way in which historical scholarship is presented, whether scholars would receive the same professional credit for these publications as for work published in print, and whether the project would enable publication of monographs that would otherwise be turned down by university presses for financial reasons. The project reached the following conclusions: authors and publishing staff collaborated in creating new models of scholarship and writing; over the course of the project, attitudes toward digital publications evolved toward acceptance of this new form of publication; the time and costs involved in creating these models exceeded expectations; continued experimentation is necessary in order to keep up with authors' growing expectations in publishing digital scholarship.  相似文献

The Book Culture Club at Hong Kong Baptist University goes beyond the traditional book talk format. Its vision is to nurture a culture that values reading, writing, and publishing books through a synergistic approach among the library, authors, potential authors, and publishers. Since its inauguration in early 2009, the club has offered eighteen programs and has attracted more than 1,200 attendees by March 2013. In this article, the author will describe how the Book Culture Club was formed, present a series of activities conducted, describe how events are prepared and implemented, discuss successful outcomes and offer reflections thereon, and demonstrate how good outreach initiatives for connecting many various parties can produce a long-lasting impact in an academic setting.  相似文献
