《高级选线技术》是石家庄铁道大学道路与铁道工程、交通运输工程专业研究生一门重要的学位课程。课程涉及的内容多,而现有的以课堂基础理论为主的教学方式很难激发学生学习的积极性和主动性。在结合多年教学经验和科研的基础上,进行《高级选线技术》课程案例化教学改革,期望通过设计案例完善现有教学方法,激发研究学习的积极性,培养研究生综合素质和科研创新能力,掌握现代信息技术在铁路选线设计中的应用。  相似文献

The need for interdisciplinary graduate training programs which prepare students to conceptualize the application of their research in clinical settings continues to grow. Though several programs have been cultivated to address this need, demand still outweighs supply. The following describes a curriculum developed with the intent of incorporating medical knowledge into a PhD graduate training program. Development of this Molecular Medicine program by the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine in collaboration with Case Western Reserve University was funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute "Med into Grad" initiative. The core curriculum of this program begins with a foundation in Human Physiology and Disease course in which anatomy faculty introduce students to a basic overview of gross anatomy structure and function. This course is followed by five fundamental basic science courses, a composite course focusing on principles of clinical and translation research, a course on laboratory techniques and three, 12-week research rotations. In the second year of the program, students begin their dissertation research, complete their qualifying examination, and partake in an individually tailored Clinical Experience course. Interdisciplinary graduate programs like this provide another venue for faculty in anatomical sciences to help aspiring translational scientists relate basic science knowledge to human pathophysiology and health.  相似文献

在综合考虑仪器设备条件、培养对象、教学时间等因素的基础上,提出一个切合实际的《植物组织培养》课程实验教学体系,该体系分“基础性实验”和“综合性实验”两部分;并针对该课程的特点,实施了一些实验教学方面的改革,如开放实验室、分小组实验、要求学生写实验开题报告并独立完成实验及增加实验课成绩比例等。经过4年的有益实践,表明该教学体系和教学方法可使学生迅速有效地掌握植物组织培养技术,并培养学生初步的科研开发能力。  相似文献

本文以研究生综合能力培养为研究视角,提出基于"四位一体"理念的多面型研究生导师团队指导模式。通过师生联合党支部、多维空间联络平台、传统文化沟通桥梁、"走出去"与"请进来"交流的方式,使研究生的理论修养与实践能力能够真正适应社会的需求,进一步提升研究生综合能力和社会竞争力。因此,研究成果对于开拓研究生学术视野、推动研究生教育的改革发展具有十分重要的参考意义。  相似文献

RNA interference (RNAi) is a powerful method to silence gene expression in a variety of organisms and is generating interest not only as a useful tool for research scientists but also as a novel class of therapeutics in clinical trials. Here, we report that undergraduate and graduate students with a basic molecular biology background were able to demonstrate conceptual knowledge and technical skills for using RNAi as a research tool upon completion of an intensive 8-wk RNAi course with a 2-h lecture and 5-h laboratory per week. Students were instructed on design of RNAi experiments in model organisms and perform multiweek laboratory sessions based on journal articles read and discussed in class. Using Nicotiana benthamiana, Caenorhabditis elegans, and mammalian cell culture, students analyzed the extent of silencing using both qualitative assessment of phenotypic variations and quantitative measurements of RNA levels or protein levels. We evaluated the course over two semesters, each with a separate instructor. In both semesters, we show students met expected learning outcomes as demonstrated by successful laboratory experiment results, as well as positive instructor assessments of exams and lab reports. Student self-assessments revealed increased confidence in conceptual knowledge and practical skills. Our data also suggest that the course is adaptable to different instructors with varying expertise.  相似文献

Science educators agree that an undergraduate research experience is critical for students who are considering graduate school or research careers. The process of researching a topic in the primary literature, designing experiments, implementing those experiments, and analyzing the results is essential in developing the analytical skills necessary to become a true scientist. Because training undergraduates who will only be in the laboratory for a short period is time consuming for faculty mentors, many students are unable to find appropriate research opportunities. We hypothesized that we could effectively mentor several students simultaneously, using a method that is a hybrid of traditional undergraduate research and a traditional laboratory course. This article describes a paradigm for mentored undergraduate research in molecular microbiology where students have ownership of their individual projects, but the projects are done in parallel, enabling the faculty mentor to guide multiple students efficiently.  相似文献

基于规范中医专业学位研究生临床能力培养模式的探索,尝试把"以赛促学,以赛促训,以赛促教"作为理念,建立Experiment(实践E)-Thinking(思维T)-Competition(竞赛C)为基础框架的"ETC教学法"。通过对广西中医药大学第一附属医院中医专业学位研究生的临床实践应用为例,探讨"ETC教学法"实践效果并进行具体阐述和分析。经实践,结果提示"ETC教学法"不仅可提高中医专业学位临床研究生的临床能力,而且在促进中医专业学位研究生临床实践积极性、理论转换为临床思维等方面有明显提高的作用,该法值得在中医专业学位研究生临床能力培养教学中推广应用。  相似文献

Most graduate programs in management require students to carry out a substantive research project. However, few management students have a comfortable command of the statistical techniques needed to realize such quantitative projects. This can lead to student anxiety and stress, which challenges instructors to devise ways to build students’ self-efficacy with statistical analysis. Drawing on game-based learning principles, we developed an exercise to help students in a graduate-level research methods course practice these statistical techniques. Designed around a series of four gamified challenges, students perform basic statistical analyses (correlations, t-tests, and simple linear regression) to solve puzzles and unlock a reward hidden in a mysterious red envelope. We used the exercise on seven occasions (five times in the methods course and twice in a graduate program preparatory course). After launching it in fall 2021, we observed that students were engaged and enthusiastic about the exercise. To ascertain its effectiveness more systematically, we collected data in five subsequent sections using a pretest/posttest design (N = 84) which showed that perceptions of statistics self-efficacy increased following the exercise. We conclude by suggesting that our exercise can be tailored to other learning contexts such as management and statistics-centered courses.  相似文献

采用文献资料法、问卷调查法、实验法、统计分析法等研究方法,以福建师大福清分校为例,对"竞赛考评法"进行分析和研究.结果表明:竞赛考评法能充分发挥其对于学生学习评价的主体性导向与叠加性激励功能,促进学习主体对理论知识的掌握和技术、能力、情感的提高;竞赛考评方法不但可应用于健美操课程教学中,也可为其他体育技术课程教学的考评方法革新提供有益的参考.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Graduate students regularly teach undergraduate STEM courses and can positively impact students’ understanding of science. Yet little research examines graduate students’ knowledge about nature of science (NOS) or instructional strategies for teaching graduate students about NOS. This exploratory study sought to understand how a 1-credit Teaching in Higher Education course that utilised an explicit, reflective, and mixed-context approach to NOS instruction impacted STEM graduate students’ NOS conceptions and teaching intentions. Participants included 13 graduate students. Data sources included the Views of Nature of Science (VNOS-Form C) questionnaire administered pre- and post-instruction, semi-structured interviews with a subset of participants, and a NOS-related course project. Prior to instruction participants held many alternative NOS conceptions. Post-instruction, participants’ NOS conceptions improved substantially, particularly in their understandings of theories and laws and the tentative nature of scientific knowledge. All 12 participants planning to teach NOS intended to use explicit instructional approaches. A majority of participants also integrated novel ideas to their intended NOS instruction. These results suggest that a teaching methods course for graduate students with embedded NOS instruction can address alternative NOS conceptions and facilitate intended use of effective NOS instruction. Future research understanding graduate students' NOS understandings and actual NOS instruction is warranted.  相似文献

Teaching research to social work students continues to be the topic of an ongoing dialog within the profession. The literature suggests that some form of a “real-world” or “hands-on” learning opportunity has many benefits for teaching a subject that students often are reluctant to engage in. Using online survey methods, researchers gathered feedback from graduate students and their field supervisors about their experience of completing a field seminar that integrated an agency-based research proposal as part of the course requirement. Although there were limitations to this approach, many of the same benefits of actually implementing research were reported by students who completed only a proposal.  相似文献

近年来,研究生数量不断增多,研究生个体对整个研究生群体的认同程度却不断降低。他们的生活往往被拘囿在专业的界限内,与其他专业或外界的接触非常少,这就导致研究生们在认同上陷入了一种困境,即有“专业归属”,无“群体归属”。破解这一困境的关键在于发挥研究生会的作用,利用这一学生组织所具有的制造认同与归属的力量,搭建交流平台,建构“共同体文化”,进而让研究生在对公共生活的积极参与中,完成自己对群体的认同,走出认同困境。  相似文献
