从网络引文的可追溯性角度研究网络信息资源的老化规律.具体分析CSSCI(1998~2009年)的183 986条P(Print)-W(Web)网络引文,发现各年网络引文量呈逻辑增长,篇均引文量也呈逐年增长趋势,其中近一半(48%)的P-W引文不可追溯.在不可追溯的引文类型中,404所占比例最大;通过引入传统文献老化规律模型--负指数增长曲线分析,P-W网络引文的平均可追溯半衰期为7 13年.P-W网络引文可追溯性与其URL域名类型、URL网页类型、URL层数和年代等的关系方面,P-W引文不可追溯分布具有一定的规律性;URL层数与URL字符数之间具有显著线性相关关系.  相似文献

以中英维基百科为例研究网络引文的分布规律,分别选择中英维基百科的图书情报学类目,研究条目的参考文献.在规范性、内容质量、引文总量、篇均引文量方面,英文维基百科明显好于中文维基百科.两种维基百科中,期刊论文和图书类型的W-P引文比例最高,传统百科全书辞典和词典是重要的知识来源.两维基百科利用的网络资源呈现一定的聚集和离散分布,从引文网址的域名层次聚合,发现其W-W引文分布都符合幂律分布(洛特卡定律).  相似文献

选择中外档案学领域典型期刊近十年的数据,从引文量、引文类型、高被引期刊、高被引作者、引用半衰期等方面比较分析国内外学者引证行为,得出:国内引文总量高于国外,但附引率和篇均引文量低于国外,外文在国内档案学论文中的引用越来越多;国内引文数量集中区间长于国外,但高引文量的论文篇数低于国外;期刊论文、图书、史料和网络文献是档案学学者主要的引用来源,网络文献的引用越来越多;国内档案学高被引文献大多为专著,国外则多为期刊论文;《档案学通讯》和Restaurator分别是国内外档案学者引用最多的期刊;冯惠玲和Neevel JG分别是国内外被引频次最高的档案学者;国内档案学者倾向于引用新文献,国外档案学引文半衰期比国内长。  相似文献

利用Google的PageRank原理进行期刊引文分析,提出期刊在引文网络中的影响力测度指标--引文网络影响力序位(Journal Impact Rank in Citation Net,Impact Rank或IR).通过对118种生物学领域的期刊进行期刊引文网络影响力测度,并将IR结果与JCR提供的影响因子(Impact Factor, IF)值进行统计学分析以考察二者的相关性和差异性.结果表明,IR值与IF值的相关性较弱,其差异性具有统计学意义.分析其原因,IR考虑了引证期刊的权重和期刊间的相互影响,更适于反映期刊在其相关学科或领域的引文网络中的相对影响力;IF值因其实质上是期刊论文篇均被引频次,其计算不考虑期刊之间的相互联系和引证期刊的权威性,因而更适用于期刊自身的纵向评价;IR与IF从两种不同角度评价期刊影响力,可互为补充.  相似文献

引文分析是图书情报学的重要贡献.引文分析的局限性表现在三个方面:对伪引的难以控制、对漏引的难以确认和对引用动机的难以辩识.引文分析局限性的根源在于“唯引是举”.引文分析是以整部文献为单元的分析,而互文性分析是以一个文本内部的话语为单元的分析.引文分析是基于形式的表层分析,而互文性分析是基于内容的批评性分析.互文性分析的目的在于揭示文本话语隐含的文化、心理、政治意义.互文性分析中的互文性类型包括语句互文、字词互文、体裁互文、修辞互文等.图书情报学理论应该关注互文性分析.进行互文性分析,有利于拓宽和深化图书情报学理论,有利于加强图书情报学理论的社会影响力.互文性分析与内容分析之间有区别.  相似文献

[目的/意义]学术文献引文推荐是指对于给定的学术文献,自动化地为其推荐合适的引文和参考文献。借助于引文推荐,用户可以在一定程度上提高撰写学术文献的效率,降低对重要相关文献的漏引。[方法/过程]分析国内外引文推荐研究的最新进展,阐述引文推荐问题的演化过程,从局部引文推荐和全局引文推荐等方面对引文推荐进行梳理,重点归纳文档相似性、主题模型、翻译模型、协同过滤和混合推荐等5种引文推荐常用方法,并总结引文推荐常用数据集和测评方法。[结果/结论]已有引文推荐研究的主要问题在于未考虑用户偏好的动态变化性及研究领域的综合性,在用户研究和实际应用方面仍有所欠缺;未来引文推荐的研究可运用语义化表达方法和自然语言生成技术,从基于上下文的引文推荐和跨语言引文推荐等方面进行展开。  相似文献

本文以CSSCI数据库提供的被引数据为数据源,以“参考咨询”类论文为对象,利用引文分析方法,从引文量、高被引作者和高被引论文数量及被引次数、共被引次数三个方面,挖掘了论文“参考文献”中的隐含信息,从中分析近年来“参考咨询”研究的现状,指出其中存在的不足之处。最后讨论了用于引文分析的多元统计方法(聚类分析法、多维尺度分析法)针对不同对象的适用性。  相似文献

基于341位诺贝尔物理学、化学、生理学或医学、经济学奖获得者的引文曲线,借助曲线拟合方法构建引文曲线的分析框架,包括两种规则引文曲线——经典引文曲线、指数增长引文曲线,和三种不规则引文曲线——睡美人引文曲线、双峰引文曲线、波型引文曲线。以诺贝尔奖得主为例的实证分析表明:①引文曲线的分析框架是一种新的引文分析视角;②引文曲线的分析框架可用于将一组(有一定影响力的)论文或作者划分层次,也可用于分析不同学科论文或作者的引用差异。文章最后分析了该框架的适用性。图4。表1。参考文献32。  相似文献

This study investigated how Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS) data from the U.S. National Cancer Institute (NCI) was cited in the scholarly literature. It addressed the following research questions: (1) What patterns of citations exist among authors of research articles using HINTS data? and (2) How is the citation format of HINTS data characterized? We collected scholarly articles that used HINTS data as primary or secondary data for analysis from Web of Science databases and HINTS publications on the NCI website. Among the resulting 250 articles, we identified citations to HINTS data themselves (data citations) and those to HINTS‐related documents (data‐related citations). Among the 250 articles, 156 articles (62.4%) cited HINTS data or HINTS‐related documents; only 29 articles (11.6%) cited HINTS data, while 127 (50.8%) cited HINTS‐related documents. Both data and data‐related citations increased over time. Data citation format varied, and 13 different compositions of citation elements were identified. Author, Title, and Location (URL) were common elements. The frequent use of URLs is undesirable due to URL instability. Furthermore, the data citations showed not only various compositions of citation elements but also ill‐defined element formats. Standardized citation formats are therefore needed.  相似文献

Using 17 open-access journals published without interruption between 2000 and 2004 in the field of library and information science, this study compares the pattern of cited/citing hyperlinked references of Web-based scholarly electronic articles under various citation ranges in terms of language, file format, source and top-level domain. While the patterns of cited references were manually examined by counting the live hyperlinked-cited references, the patterns of citing references were examined by using the cited by tag in Google Scholar. The analysis indicates that although language, top-level domain, and file format of citations did not differ significantly for articles under different citation ranges, sources of citation differed significantly for articles in different citation ranges. Articles with fewer citations mostly cite less-scholarly sources such as Web pages, whereas articles with a higher number of citations mostly cite scholarly sources such as journal articles, etc. The findings suggest that 8 out of 17 OA journals in LIS have significant research impact in the scholarly communication process.  相似文献

Previous research has shown that citation data from different types of Web sources can potentially be used for research evaluation. Here we introduce a new combined Integrated Online Impact (IOI) indicator. For a case study, we selected research articles published in the Journal of the American Society for Information Science & Technology (JASIST) and Scientometrics in 2003. We compared the citation counts from Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus with five online sources of citation data including Google Scholar, Google Books, Google Blogs, PowerPoint presentations and course reading lists. The mean and median IOI was nearly twice as high as both WoS and Scopus, confirming that online citations are sufficiently numerous to be useful for the impact assessment of research. We also found significant correlations between conventional and online impact indicators, confirming that both assess something similar in scholarly communication. Further analysis showed that the overall percentage for unique Google Scholar citations outside the WoS were 73% and 60% for the articles published in JASIST and Scientometrics, respectively. An important conclusion is that in subject areas where wider types of intellectual impact indicators outside the WoS and Scopus databases are needed for research evaluation, IOI can be used to help monitor research performance.  相似文献

For a long time, Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) journal citations have been widely used for research performance monitoring of the sciences. For the social sciences, however, the Social Sciences Citation Index® (SSCI®) can sometimes be insufficient. Broader types of publications (e.g., books and non-ISI journals) and informal scholarly indicators may also be needed. This article investigates whether the Web can help to fill this gap. The authors analyzed 1530 citations from Google™ to 492 research articles from 44 open access social science journals. The articles were published in 2001 in the fields of education, psychology, sociology, and economics. About 19% of the Web citations represented formal impact equivalent to journal citations, and 11% were more informal indicators of impact. The average was about 3 formal and 2 informal impact citations per article. Although the proportions of formal and informal online impact were similar in sociology, psychology, and education, economics showed six times more formal impact than informal impact. The results suggest that new types of citation information and informal scholarly indictors could be extracted from the Web for the social sciences. Since these form only a small proportion of the Web citations, however, Web citation counts should first be processed to remove irrelevant citations. This can be a time-consuming process unless automated.  相似文献

Abstract

Two open source extensions to the Firefox browser, LibX and Zotero, can improve the research process for library staff and users. Once configured and installed, LibX provides Firefox users with an additional browser toolbar and right-click functionality that can search a library's catalog, OpenURL resolver or federated search engine, as well as other Web sites. LibX also includes an autolinking feature, which embeds searchable links within other Web sites such as Google, Amazon, or Yahoo. Zotero merges the best features of other citation management programs with those of popular Web 2.0 services. Zotero users can store full citation information and sort, tag, annotate, and search these citations from within the Firefox browser. Zotero can also “scrape” citations from certain Web sites, allowing users to selectively save citations into their research collection. Zotero can generate complete bibliographies in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. The abilities to remotely store, synchronize, and share Zotero collections are under development with a planned release date in fall 2007.  相似文献

Across the various scientific domains, significant differences occur with respect to research publishing formats, frequencies and citing practices, the nature and organisation of research and the number and impact of a given domain's academic journals. Consequently, differences occur in the citations and h-indices of the researchers. This paper attempts to identify cross-domain differences using quantitative and qualitative measures. The study focuses on the relationships among citations, most-cited papers and h-indices across domains and for research group sizes. The analysis is based on the research output of approximately 10,000 researchers in Slovenia, of which we focus on 6536 researchers working in 284 research group programmes in 2008–2012.As comparative measures of cross-domain research output, we propose the research impact cube (RIC) representation and the analysis of most-cited papers, highest impact factors and citation distribution graphs (Lorenz curves). The analysis of Lotka's model resulted in the proposal of a binary citation frequencies (BCF) distribution model that describes well publishing frequencies. The results may be used as a model to measure, compare and evaluate fields of science on the global, national and research community level to streamline research policies and evaluate progress over a definite time period.  相似文献

基于内容的引文情感分析克服了传统基于引用频次的引用同一化问题,是引文内容分析领域一个重要的研究热点。然而引文情感分析依赖于带标注的数据集,目前大规模高质量的引文情感语料资源匮乏,严重制约了该领域的研究。因此,本文在分析引文情感表达方式的基础上提出了一套适用于引文情感表示的标注体系,并详细阐述了语料库建设的技术和方法。采用人机结合的标注策略,借助完善的引文标注系统,构建了规模较大的中文文献的引文情感语料库。统计结果显示,在中文信息处理和科技管理领域情感褒义和贬义总的引用的占比分别为22%和6%,引文情感标注kappa值达到0.852,表明该语料库能够客观地反映作者的情感倾向性,可为论文评价、引文网络分析和情感分析等相关领域的研究提供数据支撑。  相似文献

This experimental study examines an online module designed to increase student competence in oral citation behavior using a mastery training strategy. Students in the experimental condition provided complete citations at a higher rate and provided more citation information for traditional and web-based sources compared with a control group without required training. Although subjective norms set by instructors also influence citation behavior, the general trend depicted was that students completing the required module training performed more complete citations. Implications for student learning, mastery instruction, and course assessment were considered to be generally beneficial and at minimal cost.  相似文献

In the past, recursive algorithms, such as PageRank originally conceived for the Web, have been successfully used to rank nodes in the citation networks of papers, authors, or journals. They have proved to determine prestige and not popularity, unlike citation counts. However, bibliographic networks, in contrast to the Web, have some specific features that enable the assigning of different weights to citations, thus adding more information to the process of finding prominence. For example, a citation between two authors may be weighed according to whether and when those two authors collaborated with each other, which is information that can be found in the co-authorship network. In this study, we define a couple of PageRank modifications that weigh citations between authors differently based on the information from the co-authorship graph. In addition, we put emphasis on the time of publications and citations. We test our algorithms on the Web of Science data of computer science journal articles and determine the most prominent computer scientists in the 10-year period of 1996–2005. Besides a correlation analysis, we also compare our rankings to the lists of ACM A. M. Turing Award and ACM SIGMOD E. F. Codd Innovations Award winners and find the new time-aware methods to outperform standard PageRank and its time-unaware weighted variants.  相似文献

Constructing academic networks to explore intellectual structure realize academic community detection, which can promote scientific research innovation and discipline progress, constitutes an important research topic. In this study, tripartite citation is fused with co-citation and coupling relations as a way of weighting the strength of direct citations, and all-author tripartite citation networks were constructed due to the contributions of all authors to the resulting publications. For purpose of exploring the potential of the all-author exclusive and inclusive tripartite citation networks, gene editing is taken as a case study. The extensive experimental comparisons are conducted with the traditional author single-citation networks and first-author tripartite citation network in terms of network structure characteristics, identifying core scholars, and exploring intellectual structures. The following conclusions can be drawn as follows: our all-author tripartite citation networks are able to help identify the most influential scholars in the field of gene editing, and the intellectual structures from exclusive tripartite citation networks are optimal.  相似文献
