图书馆战略规划制定活动是围绕组织发展问题而展开的系统管理活动,依赖于合理的流程设计与符合图书馆时代特点的战略内容的结合。本文参考已有关于战略规划程序的研究结果,在调研数据的支持下,依照图书馆机构特点与战略管理理论,提出了包含准备、分析、制定发布三个阶段在内的战略规划流程模型,并从时间发展角度提出周期演进模式,以期为图书馆战略规划制定提供参考。  相似文献

临床实践指南(简称指南)是由政府机构或学术组织撰写的指导性医疗文件,对提高医疗质量有重要的指导、推动作用,因此其制作的质量非常重要。目前我国指南制订者并不熟悉指南制订方法与报告规范;指南制订的透明性、科学性、完整性及严谨性不足;指南宣传推广不足。医学编辑在指南制订全过程中均可开展一些工作,提升指南质量。制订前普及、宣传指南制订的方法学与报告规范,选题策划时组织、邀约临床实用性高的指南。指南投稿中严格按照AGREEⅡ及RIGHT标准,逐项审查把关。制订后大力推广和宣传,促进指南在临床的实施。  相似文献

Planning a conference at the best of times is intense. Add in a lingering pandemic and the first attempt at a hybrid conference then planning a conference can become extremely stressful. Selecting sessions for a conference can fall under the responsibilities of librarians contributing to the profession and completing service requirements. This paper maps the research, creation, and implementation of a rubric to guide the evaluation of session proposals for a technical services library conference and the creation of a webpage to inform those thinking of submitting a proposal. When the Academic Library Association of Ohio (ALAO), Ohio's chapter of the Association of Academic & Research Libraries (ACRL), began planning for its 2020 conference, the COVID-19 pandemic hadn't yet begun. However, when COVID-19 arrived, the Conference Planning Committee was quickly compelled to make decisions about whether to move the conference online, how to deliver it in an online format, and how to help ALAO members adapt to the change. This article explores how decisions to move a conference online can be made and implemented while meeting the needs of the conference-planning organization and its members.  相似文献

The challenge of organizing a successful conference is a tremendous commitment requiring extensive preparation and teamwork. It is tempting but dangerous to underestimate the details needed to coordinate an outstanding event. Conferences follow a natural life cycle from proposal, gaining administrative support, planning, implementing, and then finally evaluating outcomes. 会议文献是重要的信息资源,但当前图书馆对其管理比较分散,资源建设缺乏系统性。对CPCI收录会议数据展开分析以了解其出版特点,结果发现:80%以上的会议文献在会议召开后两年内出版;会议文献在“工程技术”和“医药卫生”领域数量较多;连续性会议名称非常不规范等。在此基础上,对会议文献资源建设现状、难点进行了分析,并提出了有针对性的资源建设策略。  相似文献

This article provides an overview of the status of strategic planning in academic libraries. It discusses the trend towards “dialogic” (e.g. Appreciative Inquiry) rather than “diagnostic” (e.g. SWOT) approaches to strategic planning—a trend aligned with a dialogic movement in organization development. The authors explain the difference between dialogic and diagnostic methods and what made Appreciative Inquiry (AI) a good choice for strategic planning at Oviatt Library, California State University, Northridge (CSUN). In the final section, the authors present a case study of the Oviatt Library project with information about the planning process including staffing for the project. Although focused on academic libraries, the information about strategic planning frameworks and processes is applicable to any type of library.  相似文献

Participant evaluations are analyzed and presented with recommendations for future learning activities. This column focuses on the closely related topics of strategic planning and assessment in all types of libraries. The column examines all aspects of planning and assessment including (but not limited to) components, methods, approaches, trends, tools and training. Interested authors are invited to submit articles to the editor at wvdole@ualr.edu. Articles on both theory and practice and examples of both successful and unsuccessful attempts in all types of libraries are invited.

In this issue, Anne Marie Casey, Dean of Retention and Student Success at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, reminds us that real life challenges such as staff resistance and reallocation of campus space have serious impacts on planning. She presents a case study of one library's attempt to deal with these challenges by using a variety of methods, including active employee input, appreciative inquiry, and scenario planning to encourage staff buy-in. For the most part, these attempts proved successful.

Strategic planning is often considered a managerial tool. The management of an organization surveys the environment and develops a plan that they introduce to the organization as a whole. Most modern organizations seek employee involvement in the planning process and feedback to some degree with varied results. But for one academic library, employee involvement in the development and execution of the strategic plans has been a vital part of the processes. The Hunt Library at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University has been developing strategic plans for several years with active input from the librarians and staff. This case study chronicles the different approaches the library staff have used to create new plans. One method was to hold a set of retreats where all library staff provided ideas for new initiatives to explore and old processes to retire. Another involved the SOAR approach, which uses appreciate inquiry to determine strengths, opportunities, aspirations, and results. A third method employed scenarios to encourage staff input into the next strategic plan. Each of the different approaches yielded interesting results; some failures and many successes. Some processes were more positive than others but they all included mutually agreed-upon strategies that guided the library as it planned future innovations.  相似文献
